I saw a few people say something along these lines and this is all my cursed brain could think of:
was wondering if they had to pick this name because the domain for bubsy3d.com is still owned by the arcane kids after it originally expired. but alas, bubsy4d dot com only got registered earlier today and is now redirecting to a furry art booru. âi think we have all learned a very valuable lesson todayâŚâ - james turrel
i liked it when marketing for the previous attempt at an official bubsy do-over included weirdly spiteful fake interviews with the character complaining about âunauthorized indie pixel games and deeveeart portraitsâ. miss the brief glimpse of a sweatily nixonian bubsy.
YEsssss this rules, this is the future of games I wanted
Itâs gonna be real funny if Steam Machines make a comeback after crashing and burning ten years ago.
Honestly the performance out of some of those $500 Chinese mini PCs running Bazzite or Steam OS are shockingly decent, so maybe nowâs the time.
A shame the one I bought came preloaded with spyware and then also just started refusing to power on after a few months in storage, because during my brief time with it I was really pretty impressed by what it could handle
Yeah thatâs the thing I kinda worry about with those.
I mean, I guess Iâd wipe the drive entirely from the get-go, which would hopefully take care of the first part, but it does sound like if the hardware fails youâre outta luck.
All the more reason to hope Valve makes a decently priced one of these things, I guess!
Something something Golden Age.
Would be a lot more excited for this if FF wasnât the combat system. Like in interface is Hydlide, the guild thing and the set floors of the dungeon make it seem Wizardry, and then combat isâŚFF characters casting elemental spells.
No game named after my son is allowed to be a roguelite. Iâm suing for an injunction to force them to make a campaign with real level design

Youâre familiar with Steven Kent, even though you shouldnât be, by virtue of playing video games and reading english. He wrote the first comprehensive history of videogames, which was largely fanfiction about SEGA of America and was happy to make up anything he didnât have time to find sources for. After coasting on the residuals of that book never leaving print, because heâs never managed to write anything else significant since then, he has finally found a new venture:
A couple weeks ago at a con called Geekfest he hosted a panel called âThe Yokai[sic] Legacyâ which claimed to be about the gameboy but was actually just a commercial for Palmer Luckyâs bloodmoney laundering game console. Maybe this will finally convince people to stop even recommending his book with the caveat of âWell, it gets a lot of the details wrong, but it has the outline of the events right.â
Coincidentally someone just published a full errata of his book.

I definitely need to read this, I read the book a couple times when I was in middle school, then lost it and never read it again so the knowledge solidified in weird ways in my brain.
wow, this reminds me bookmark this site againâŚalways read, always forget
