oh bubsy’s from the demon turf/tides people it might be the first actually fun one
welcome back shigirui
It’s sort of devolved into DLC, adaptations, and mobile game ads.
the bubsy design is so ugly & the brand’s existence has so solidly moved from self-deprecating to publicly self-loathing for the last twenty-odd years that to me its the opposite of a value add.
WoW’s 11th expansion announced, WoW: Midnight
Kinda interesting seeing it amongst so many other overwrought CG teasers for games presumably influenced by Blizzard’s house style but unable to create one of their own.
me when i stay up late
No Nikki @daphaknee
yeah they ruined the joke by trying to cash in on it
that’s why they should do a Gex reboot where they bring back Dana Gould and sort of do a Psychonauts style platformer with metacommentary where he’s like a washed up 90’s star lol. Bubsy was way too stupid and insubstantial to ever warrant that but it would work for Gex.
This stood out to me from what was shown though it has that same indie-paying-homage-to-half-remembered-anime wrapper that has become ubiquitous
Fuck a duck I thought we’d never hear from that one again
For decades now they’ve had that absolutely dead weight writing and Napoleon Dynamite house style but the tech itself remains best in class… why can’t someone with taste hijack these technicians and have them produce something great…
Is Astartes (importantly, the work of a single person) still the best of these we’re gonna get before the end, or is there still yet further frontiers of Cool Fantasy CG we can achieve…
A crowd of men cheer over a woman watching her mother get brutally murdered.
Gamers.
I gotta remember in the future that the key to dealing with any of these Keighley shows is to at most watch the preshow trailers and then go to bed and see what two things that aren’t World of Tanks or one of ten indistinguishable gacha games got announced.
Edit: I’m still reeling from listening to that Call of Duty presenter just rattling off a bunch of canned nonsense like a robot. Awful.
never watch them and forget they exist
