(Brink did the exact same thing with its campaign except for the part where you could play it by yourself, but, you know, the narrative surrounding Brink is so toxic by this point)

The radio play has come around to endearingly bad now that the campaign hopper is just a rotation. When it kicked you back to the earliest common unplayed level and it was the only way to unlock other chassis it was murder.

I can only imagine, seeing as I was part of the Korean VPN unlock wave of players so I had my other titans post-haste
I then proceeded to use the default, starter titan almost exclusively
The campaign was terrible after the second playthrough, when you realize that the winning team doesnāt affect the plot in the slightest (actually Iām probably wrong since I literally havenāt touched campaign since the game came out but letās go with that). God, at least Brink had some occasional rudimentary branching (Iām probably wrong about this too).
Anyway, Iām ready for absurd prestige challenges again (I wear my Gooser badge with pride)

I was going to do something sort of like this when the whole clusterfuck broke out, but it quickly became too complicated and I lost faith in my ability to provide anything appreciably different from the consensus, which I thought had, in a brief bit of lucidity, mostly done a good job so long as you were actively looking.

Thereās some evidence that Splash Damage more or less shoved Brink out the door because of how Bethesda rolls with developers they donāt own (they supposedly withhold payments and strangle the studio until the can swoop in and buy them). I honestly think the game is good, though it came out a bit underbaked (the PC version shipped with a map where the sound didnāt work. I mean, at all. Completely silent.). I am vindicated by Dirty Bomb being good even though itās mostly the same game.
