If you want my nuanced opinion as to why Kirby 3 is not as good as Kirby Super Star, Iād have to play 3 again, which Iām not going to do, because it stinks
(look itās a fine game but itās a major disappointment coming from super star. the art style is really nice but otherwise i found it unremarkable)

Look I think everyone will agree Super Star is the better game. Itās one of my personal top 10 games of all time. Iād go so far as to even say itās one of the games that best represents Nintendoās ethos manifesting in a quality way, itās a fun game that is more difficult as you push yourself, that you can play couch co-op and is from a pixel art and music standpoint ascetically among the SNESā finest. The play across a ton of mini games gives a sense of accomplishment in bite size chunks. It is a masterpiece and no Kirby game matches it.
Dreamland 3 though, is among the better Kirby games. The art style is still unique, the added challenges are some of the most creative in pretty much any game. Learning to get the star for one level required not blowing away any of the dandelions still hits me as one of the most creative challenges Iāve run across. Gooey isnāt as interesting as playing as any given enemy, but itās still good thereās co-op. The friends maybe arenāt the peak that they are in 2. But in many ways with 3 Kirby didnāt have quality games for years. 64 in no way measured up. Then there was the GBA remake, then idk the DS ones never grabbed me as much, and couldnāt figure out what they were doing with the Wii games.
Dream Land 3 is just too long for a platformer that has almost no level design
I meanā¦ theyāre all Kirby games, with varying degrees of visual/mechanical novelties

I hope they also changed how the accessory thatās supposed to give you better loot from chests actually makes it so that you get junk from the majority them (which makes it so you miss a bunch of items) and a 50% to get something actually neat from like 15 of them total scattered randomly throughout the whole game. Because why.
