A lot of this sounds really good to me.
I’m still really, really glad they fixed the job system – quickenings were kind of broken in the original (in addition to being dumb FF8-style re-roll spam) and could trivialize medium-difficulty bossfights (iirc you’d get wrecked if you tried them on a harder boss like gilgamesh because they’d leave you defenseless afterward, but almost all of those were optional), but that wasn’t nearly as much of an issue as the one-job restriction being unbelievably boring and detrimental. obviously they realized that!
I have to say that I have absolute tonal confidence in a game that has a skeleton enemy called “ivory and ivory”
