why do fangame developers insist on making it as much like a real commercial release as possible. literally just release your game with multiple hosting site links on popular forums and keep your head down

I would have thought a Monster Factory alumni would be higher up the list.
A few months ago, before FPW was announced, I was threatening to become a professional Fire Pro Wrestling gamer streamer. I even designed a special mask that I would wear “on cam” and was about to place an order for it, from a professional luchador mask maker, but I delayed hitting “submit” on that order long enough for this game to be announced. That killed my interest in doing gamer streams. Probably gonna be a billion other people doing pro-wrestling games online! Why fuckin’ bother.
While practicing for my new gamer streamer lifestyle I ran Jumbo Tsuruta vs Nick Bockwinkel over and over and over and my Jumbo kept getting his fuckin’ neck broken 5 minutes in. It was real dispiriting. I’m not good at Fire Pro.
I regret not ordering that mask, even though streaming is probably a bad idea. Hopefully I won’t regret buying Fire Pro Wrestling World.
Disgusted that no one’s uploaded a Micro Man or Atlantis or Ultimo Guerrero or Rush yet.
But there are 2 Daisuke Sekimotos so maybe it’s not all bad…
EDIT: Taking that back. This game is bad until we get MICROMAN. I’ll have to hook up my PC tomorrow and digitize him.
