There’s a version of Dark Arisen coming out on PS4 and Xbone this year as well.

I’ve been wondering why 9 and 10 haven’t been anthologized or more aggressively ported yet.

missing rockman & forte seems like an oversight

7 and 10 are kind of turds (though no moreso than 5 and 6) but I’ve always liked 8, and 9 is very good

Maybe this will be a good track of just how much the premium app market has collapsed

But Frost(Freeze?) Man Stage Song is the best.

MM7 is the only mainline to do stage changes in the line of X. The halloween stage will play the ghost and goblin’s theme.

I assume this is digital ecclipse which has publically said each game is like real hard you know. Rockman and Bass has a special chip I am pretty sure. I mean it was on the fucking PS2 collection so lol.

I don’t think so! plus those are trivial to emulate these days anyhow. X2/X3 had a special chip for drawing the wireframes (which seems like an insane exorbitance in hindsight but what do I know) but I don’t believe R&F did.

But not on Android apparently

You don’t get to debut your new game at an Apple developer conference if you’re also launching on Android the same day

I was waiting for more details on this after it got announced at CES because I’ve been wondering whether I’m gonna wind up getting a third bulb for the 720p projector I got secondhand eight years ago & I really didn’t want a regular-ass TV again so this is very exciting

problem is it’s still way more than I want to spend and it’s so much cheaper than other 4K projectors idk if it’ll come down in price enough until like, christmas 2018

Is anyone noticing that the thumbnail art for this features the MMV GB game robots but otherwise doesn’t mention them?

secrets…

I loved how they committed to using half the bosses from the prior NES installment and half the bosses from the subsequent NES installment for the first several megaman GB releases

pokemon direct happening tomorrow morning, what could it be

but if you look at a “proper” OLED TV that can do 4K, that’ll set you back, just let me check …

holy! That Sony A1 set is beyond anything I’d thought.

So pre-post-edit to this post - this is bargain territory you're in.

Turns out it’s:

  • Pokken Tournament DX on Switch
  • Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon on 3DS this fall (this is a sequel à la B2/W2 and not an enhanced rerelease like Crystal/Emerald/Platinum)
  • Pokémon Gold/Silver on 3DS Virtual Console

Oddly enough, the French Nintendo PR site lists Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon as having a TBD Switch release date, but they didn’t mention anything about this in the video itself, so not sure if it’s just a fuckup or legit.

Nintendo has shot down the Switch release after being contacted by like every blog.

edit: well this is awkward

What’s with the “PureMotion” shit on that projector though. I was looking up some fancy quantum dot tv the other day too and it mentioned having a “slight soap opera effect” for movies, the only reason I would even want a tv, what the fuck. why in 2017 do I have to downgrade from my pioneer kuro plasma that can just switch to 24hz mode for movies.

I’ve never seen a TV or projector that doesn’t allow terrible 24hz -> 48hz/60hz motion compensation to be disabled

48hz isn’t motion compensation

if you’re at a multiple of 24hz, it’s not compensation

if anything, even multiples reduce the shudder effect while still keeping the same framerate

the last great high-end plasma Panasonic put out showed 24hz content at 96hz

also how did interpolation become compensation

I bet we all don’t mind 3:2 pulldown as much as we think we do (not that we need it anymore in the year of our OLED 2017)
