Ahhh yes, Mother 3. Played it on my laptop in 2010 and there was lag during the battles, so I never could quite get the hang of the rhythm-based battles system.

Why do âfansâ hate Wind Waker? I remember it being beautiful and blue skies and charming.
I very clearly remember the shitstorm surrounding Wind Wakerâs reveal. Everyone expected the GC Zelda to be like the demo Nintendo had shown off at E3, which was fancier looking OoT, and then everyone saw the video and was like âWhat.â
Also, Skyward Sword looks even goofier than WW, isnât that some kind of tonal whiplash this person thanking Aonuma is ignoring. Not that it matters what the games look like seeing as Nintendo has sneakily inserted TriForce Heroes into the âHero of Time Losesâ timeline canon.

I like when EA makes games âfreeâ because their multiplayer gets healthy populations of noobs.
Need For Speed Most Wanted on the PC is hilarious. I was in a multiplayer game where 12 people were trying to drift around a lighthouse at the same time. Recommend for free multiplayer car shenanigans and economical file size (thanks DVD).
I was able to immediately get into an Xbox One match of Titanfall whereas the PC version has been pretty dead for a long time. Canât believe that game is two years old, but I definitely feel like I picked the right 3/11/14 release of the two. I think Respawn makes some of the best body-feel in first person games.
Titanfall PC is plenty alive. You just have to want to play Attrition and nothing else

WW is the most gorgeous looking game maybe ever?? so pissed that style will never be revisited outside of mediocre handheld games.
i was like 10 when WW was announced and i thought it looked like hotshit. so my child self had better taste than legions of grown-ass adults on the internet, whatta shocker. I remember the backlash against it too, it was my first realization that fans have assbackward priorities and should never be trusted.
Did anyone post the new Doom trailer yet? The weird god of war style murderkills combined with the 90âs magazine ad thread reminding me how Doom used to be kind of an S&M thing has got me thinking about how video games oscillate between being sadism simulators and masochism simulators. Like, it very much seems like the thrill of the new Doom is supposed to come from brutal catharsis of killing and maiming your foes, whereas in the originals itâs presented as this kind of transcendent self-abuse. Both of those things probably say something about Society, or whatever.
