HELL or HIGH WATER briefly touches upon the Hog Menace in its denouement which surely makes up for at least some of its minor overwriting crimes? Thumbs Up.

Itâs almost like hinging a fourth movie on another minor personal revelation for a character that is not a character but a stone-faced cyborg cypher maneuvering through a sea of vaguely fleshy technobabble plinths wasnât a good idea.
Or that the person in charge of making such a movie should be competent at presenting actionstuff to eyeballs at least.

we can agree that Vincent Casselâs face is easily an all-time Bourne villain though right?
imagine if you could have somehow seen that face clearly for as much a 1-2 seconds during the climactic slapfight?!
I heard even the part where he just walks up and slugs a guy in the head in the trailer was recut to be presented as incoherent as possible in the actual movie
I donât even know what the conflict is in these movies any more. The CIA is bad, except when it is good. It is bad because it is trying to kill Jason Bourne, who is good. It wants to kill Jason Bourne because he is threatening to expose the serial programs that they keep starting and stopping to condition superkillers like Jason Bourne. Jason Bourne willingly entered one such program and killed a bunch of dudes but then he got amnesia so now he is good. So superkiller programs ARE good because they can produce Jason Bournes? Or not though. The deep state is bad when it produces superkiller programs, maybe, but also good all the other times because there are bad guys out there and we need espionage services to stop them. People have a right to know, and data wants to be free, except Jason Bourne never just goes to wikileaks and says hey, Iâll tell you everything. Because that would bring the whole system down, which we still need most of. Just not the superkiller programs. Except when they make Jason Bourne. Or something???

Seagal at least has the decency to always make it obvious who is bad (everyone who isnât seagal or his team-that-mostly-consists-of-the-ethnicity-he-wants-to-be-in-whatever-movie).
