jesus this expansion is so much bigger than I was prepared for. some of the new monster variants are really fun though! enjoyed the nightshade paolumu fight in particular. the monster elements/weaknesses seem a lot more varied than the base game, too.
i just got to credits finally and then i loaded into the first post-credits mission and i am so completely owned

I keep forgetting to ask, did something happen with the ps4 squad? when i first logged in for iceborne I was not in it. no worries if I was removed for some reason.
There was a “feature” in the early days that if you didn’t log in for about 2-3 weeks in the game it would remove you from any of the Squads you joined. I think one of the earlier patches extended or removed that duration.

I thought there was only one new zone in the expansion so this end-game area is a real nice surprise!!
also I’ve decided that I like all new monsters EXCEPT TIGREX.

Got it! I kept seeing the name pop up in the SOS flare search so it wasn’t a total surprise, I just didn’t realize it’d come with all these new mechanics and customization options.

I put it down on PS4 for Ruined Nerg, I guess I need to come back. Pretty rough, not a lot of room to maneuver and nothing to hide behind.

Normal Gunlance is fun
Full-burst combo all day long. Make yourself a Queen’s Panoply, grind-out the Grinding Lands for health regen mods and never bother playing the game any differently, because you’ve already won.
That’s my plan once I get there. Just took down seething bagelgoose last night, next I have to go out and hunt elder dragon tracks
