Create a game, set it to 1-player. That’s what the help tutorial says (‘Do you want to exit tutorial? Y/N’ TUTORIAL COMPLETED)
I mean, there’s no reason not to have MP stuff on. It’s not like cutscenes can be skipped, or like people can jump in on your game unless you ask for help. But yeah, that is how you would do it.

Yeah, it’s really backasswards and totally “Japanese devs are still weird about online” but it’s so much easier than other MonHans that I ain’t mad at it.
It sure doesn’t help that about every gacha game imaginable uses impenetrable nine-digit codes to uniquely identify your account, so it just reenforces Japanese gaming companies’ ideas that this is a system that makes sense to use everywhere else, because “everyone is familiar with it already”

Went fishing around the Japanese MHW wikis for good low rank mixed armor sets and settled on this one (bottoms are personal preference); just finished building it thanks to Booji’s help. I’m using the Pukei-Pukei insect glaive with poison element, so complementing it with Poison Attack skill on the flex slot made sense.
i want to learn insect glaive, but i think charge blade is first on my “weapons i don’t know well and want to master” list
i reconnected with some of my very old monhun buds so my play time will be a bit divided but want to get in with all yall soon
