There’s been setbacks during this, though! We know the Switch Pro was internally canceled, and this generation has been super long. Launch Switches are definitely burning out, and the theme of undeserved rewards clearly speaks of Nintendo still getting pretty good sales numbers with no new hardware. I’m assuming the poor investment might have something to do with Samsung somehow, that kind of fits.

For the record, this deck correctly predicted when we’d see the first Metroid Prime 4 trailer. So we’re rolling with a 100% success rate in here.

It’s still so wild to me how Sega just seemingly, freely licenses out some of their games for this stuff, so you’ll see House of the Dead or Front Mission (Square, I know) without any of the top-dog publisher branding.
Just feels like seeing those cartoon DVDs with the hand drawn cover that’s like 20 decrepit VHS transfers of Looney Tunes and Popeye at the dollar store. Looking around nervously all “is this OK, is this legal…”

i like the panzer dragoon remake and i love streets of rage 4 and shenmue iii, but this looks shit. if it weren’t for the ui elements, i would’ve thought there was some sepia filter over the footage, but they really did just make the entire game brown like it’s 2009
