didn’t the pathologic 2 devs like complain bitterly about how much they regretted committing to making this horrible slog of a game that lost money

I thought it ruled but this was not exactly what I expected

Wow big day for me, P2 and A:I are my two favorite horror games from the past decade.

Also, god. Alien Isolation is barely a decade young at this point.

That was Pathologic 2, this is Pathologic 3.

I look forward to playing the Alien Isolation sequel in 2028. At least there’s that Jurassic Park Survivor game coming out (in 2026???) to tide us over!?

finally holy shit, during fiscal year 2024 sounds like early 2025 at best… hopefully they’ll put it out in not just arcades this time

this looks really neat. like someone resurrected the old XBLIG game “Storage Inc.”, which was a blast many a night w/ pals. i guess the more recent comparison would be Overcooked but i think the emphasis on controlling the forklift and the physicality of the boxes makes it more mechanically compelling for me.

EDIT: ooh i thought of another potential comparison: Wilmot’s Warehouse

the little boosts those forklifts do are very silly (compliment)

pros:

  • adds more skill expression
  • gives a better way to shove piles
  • likely will cause many unforced errors cf. helldivers
  • funny

cons:

  • reduces your ability to “hang out” while getting from point a to point b; if you want to play optimally there is no more time for breathers

instant buy once it’s hacked and can get custom themes that play this for the sleepy relax time sounds

i was correct about the inspiration. it was direct enough that i thought maybe it was the same dev so i had to ask on Twitter.

They’ve never made a bad one, short of maybe the Anniversary remaster of Combat Evolved being underbaked, they’ve just never committed to any of their storylines, too afraid of fan reactions.

I don’t see how a rebrand and an engine change fundamentally helps when the issue is bad management anyway.
