BBCF is a great game because it lets you do stupid things like this reset, which is probably my favorite thing to hit (that I can actually do!) in any fighting game:
tager is a great character because he has an inordinate amount of stupid things available to him at any given moment. A+
we gotta run some +R sets again @slime
yeah fs just hmu on steam or dc or whatever
also play BBCF with me because I just got it and I hate it but I also need to play it more

I was gonna bother him on Discord, but look, found his updates on Youtube, coincidentally, while reading up on 3s cut content:
so about 30 minutes after doing this video I fixed the HP bars completely. so the todo list right now is looking like:
- makoto super 2 wall x position
- twelve air dash wall bounce x position
- “now fight a new rival” centered (should be the last SS tile fix)
- extend graphics FIGHT, ROUND X, and super art explosion to fill the width of the screen
- bg/fg obj pop in/out
- stage boundary blank areas
GGST’s ranking system is so volatile it’s really funny… I don’t mind it that much aside from when it interrupts sets. I went back in today after a couple day hiatus and then bounced between floors 8 and 10 like three times.
I really appreciate http://ratingupdate.info as a much better way to track rank progress and just as an interface where I can look back and realise that actually I didn’t do as poorly that day as it felt.
GGST’s ranking system made sense on launch to give a huge population of beginners a sense of upward progress, but at this point it could use a revamp. Player Distribution | RATING UPDATE says only 10% of games are played below Floor 8 nowadays. I’m glad someone in the community stepped up to create that site at least.
I think ACPR’s experience point system is still the best. It shows the bar visible for both players so you know who’s been on a level up/down streak, it’s similar to VF/Tekken except where those games make the first 20 ranks completely pointless or otherwise an “I know how to use the controller” certificate, the difference in, say, rank 0 to 4 in ACPR is actually notable, because every level requires the same number of EXP
ayyyyy, VF4 is finally in fightcade now
oh shit, might be time for me to boot up the old fightcade then
trying to figure out how i feel about this game based on the previews here. too hard to tell, for me. i kind of don’t like the art direction, but i haven’t liked Street Fighter’s art direction since like the 90s so i can’t be that surprised
gonna wait to see how actual fights in the game play out, but it seems at least a little interesting and like a new direction
I like the aesthetic they’re going for and the mechanics but something just feels off about the characters for me right now. Luckily not as off as SFV was but still
The HUD looks a lot better than SFV but it’s still very mid. It doesn’t really feel that cohesive with the rest of the game, and lacks identity
I respect the total overhaul of theme/UI/VFX. Wish the characters looked as good as the leaked character art, but I’m pretty sold on everything else. I hope the OST is as fresh and original as 3S too.
Kinda glad to see simplified inputs embraced. I’ve accepted I’m not gonna compete in anything much any more but glad it’ll be easier for me to noodle around. Most of the redesigns are pretty strong imo if the leaked art is accurate.
