city of the wolves is great if you want to get infinite juggled 12 matches in a row while the game refuses to tell you how to avoid that situation and the internet once again hides all its resources so becoming a better player is impossible

it’s a modern fighting game, so you run forward, rotate bullshit and hope you get the first hit. if you don’t, you just mash or dp. if that fails you lose

I’m not a huge fan of decent damage being tied to strings of EX moves but maybe it’s just me. Trying to figure out whether I wanna try Simple or Arcade. Unlike Modern in SF6 I feel like Simple style loses too much and you kinda get locked out of some core mechanics. Arcade is a lot for the ol’ hands but is admittedly more fun.

yeah I had fun with the first beta of this game, but I know it takes me a long time to form an opinion on a fighting game. this beta there wasn’t a scrap of fun to be had. saved me the 60 bucks
