wasnāt expecting much given the disaster that is Luke in SFV, but I was kinda thinking theyād show at least a little street fighting going on, instead of just the literal smoking biceps of the only two characters we already knew would be in the game.

KOF is so big it has its own thread not much more active tbh

Between work and being away from home this past weekend, I havenāt been able to actually mess with it much until today. But honestly itās been really hard even reading meaningful conversations about it because there arenāt central communities anymore. I assume you have to be following the right people on twitter who retweet the viral videos and info tweets or you have to be in the right discords at the right times, of which I do neither. So itās like I donāt really have any exposure to the game outside of what Iāve played of it today. I literally had nothing to say because I knew nothing!
I really like what Iāve played so far. Itās definitely a refinement of 14 rather than a major shake-up, but the changes they have done have done wonders to the pacing. Itās really nice seeing matches not just revolve around TOD combos from round 2 onward. The gameās greatest sin so far though is making me like playing Yashiro and Elizabeth, something Iāve never felt before. They also felt so stiff to me before, but in 15 I can gel with them a lot easier. A truly awful sin by SNK because I donāt want to be playing the Orochi kids other than Shermie.
Last time I saw this come up late last year around a Brandon Sheffield tweet about it, someone went looking into SNKās financials and found no records of him owning any part of SNK. So either he still hasnāt gone through with it after all this time for some reason, he never went through with it, or he just bought and sold it as part of whatever greater financial dealings heās got going on.

the main problem with kofxv is the fuckin matchmaking is broken, so that sucks. other than that, Iām having a fun time trying to be slightly better than completely awful at it. it has the good problem of having a lot of characters I want to play. trying to wire my brain to play kof is gonna take time, since Iāve never done more than mess around with the series in the past. if anyone wants PC matches against my horrible grappler squad, Iām here any time.
