the trailer makes the game seem a lot more dramatic than it is, at least from what i played. a lot of it is just meandering tedious conversations where other characters passive aggressively call you stupid. generally was quite unimpressed with the writing

Wayforward games are like, the equivalent when your mom accidentally bought you Tonic Trouble instead of Banjo Kazooie. or Aero The Acrobat instead of Super Metroid or whatever. like… gee, thanks mom. at least you tried.

There was a “Yar’s Revenge” for the 360 developed by “Killspace Entertainment” back in 2011, if that’s what you’re thinking of, which was a critically panned Star Fox-like.

There was also “Yars: Recharged” from 2022, which was a twinstick thing that appears to be significantly more faithful to the original game. People apparently liked it. (Also not a WF thing.)

I haven’t watched this new trailer, but the WayForward-sexy human woman on the thumbnail kinda kills my interest. Please just give me a bunch of gross bug weirdos okay?
