This gameās gonna own. Played the demo a while back and was excited to be playing a boomer shooter that doesnāt take place in hell or on a farm.

Are the worst people possible still making it though?
Thereās been no bigger heartbreak in gaming recently than a build engine game flipping the Duke/Wang script with a lady protagonist only to have it become some sort of gamergate homophobic mess.

it was too true to its build engine inspirations: homophobic mess with absolutely dogshit enemy design and guns that are fun on paper but boring to actually use, some decent looking maps

there was one homophobic joke in an easter egg area, most of what happened was the devs being transphobic in a discordā¦ Iām not going to waste my time being offended at an āOgayā bottle in a videogame when they clearly did worse stuff than that. The lady protagonist is good, too.
Everything tulpa is counting as a negative besides that is why itās a really good build engine game lol the enemies are no worse than Blood (like it literally even has the hitscanner cultists) and idk the weapons are good. Bowling bomb owns. Its a build engine game, theyāre all kind of shit. I didnāt fuckin give them money so whatever
This new one is made by a different developer anyway, whos mostly been working on the terrible kingpin remaster and the terrible sin remaster that never came out

I never finished it, but I remember really liking Read Only Memories. Pretty good music, art, and worldbuilding.
I did not get along great with the original Read Only Memories but I am still kinda sad that I donāt think this follow-up will respect how bad an ending I got in said game.
Glad to know this new one is a different outfit, but Iām still gonna say fuck that original crew for that āanti-censorshipā grandstanding they did after the fact to curry favor with the gg crowd.

You donāt have to say ātimer ticksā ā Nintendo made each tick in Mario Maker one second long even though itās like 0.8s in every older game.
