it's more fun to emulate

that’s Ian Michael’s (dc dev) thing. definitely not intended to be sold, so whoever was doing that was bootlegging lol

This is not for sale free project any site having it for sale is not me and could not even
be this collection…

three to six months after they figure it out, sony will magically have an official PC port, because piracy is wrong!

Mesen will save a “Last Session” save when you exit a game with the “Power Off” menu item or shortcut key…but not when you say just close the program window with the game running–UNLESS you also enable the --preferences.gameSelectionScreenMode=PowerOn command line setting, it seems.

So for a game like NES Tetris, which saves high scores but only for a single session, ie the game itself has no save capability, you can keep it going in a state maintaining the scores by combining PowerOn with the --loadLastSession switch. Not very intuitive but seems to work. My Tetris command line for instance is

C:\downloaded\mesen\Mesen.exe “C:\downloaded\mesen\roms\Tetris (USA)_nostalgic.zip” --preferences.gameSelectionScreenMode=PowerOn --fullscreen --video.aspectRatio=NoStretching --audio.masterVolume=35 --loadLastSession --doNotSaveSettings

There are probably other NES emulators that make this easier. : P (Like with arcade games in MAME you would just use “-autosave” ‘p’.)

It is surely magic or some fault of mine that cxbx reloaded runs way worse on my new laptop then it did on my ancient laptop.

Otogi doesn’t work but think that is just the state of xbox emulation.

you want xemu, not cxbx

Otogi still doesn’t work

In xemu canary you can expect 15 fps and for half the textures to be missing in otogi. Game is beyond even the cutting edge of xb emulation

I was mostly complaining because JSRF was really chugging when it ran at full speed and I couldn’t figure out if it was caching or something else.

Been having trouble with the Managunz file utility for jailbroken PS3s freezing while copying files from the PS3 to a USB flash drive. Freezing finally seems to have stopped once I unplugged my controller (3rd party cheap “Voyee” pad off Amazon) and used it wirelessly instead of while plugged in by USB. So…that’s good, I guess. = P

Dang, this is so cool! I played a bit of Megaman 1 and it’s such a different experience lol

I’d love if I could run this emulator on Android so I could play FM synth NES with a vaguely PC-88 palette and neat shadows on my Retroid

since it’s a loader and not an emulator, does this mean that these 00s games will run fine on pretty much any computer running in the modern day?
