it looks fine if you apply some AF because the DC has absolutely terrible and obvious mipmapping issues that just goes wild over anything with a close-in camera
I’m pretty sure I once saw someone here dreaming about a shader that could recreate the look of print magazine screenshots and
yeah it checks out

has anyone made a print magazine screenshot filter for emulation yet?
Yes - these haven’t been updated in years and are OpenGL only, but there’s a lot of neat stuff in the ‘Analog Shader Pack’:
Magazine Shader This is a fun one, simulates the printed look of old video game screenshots you’d see in Nintendo Power and EGM mags or arcade flyers.
eagerly anticipating the Royale-class offset halftone breakthrough
Yeah Zombs shaders.
also every time i think about the idea of print-screenshot filters what i am really thinking of is clipped jpeg scans uploaded to The-Magicbox and like MMCafe’s news page in 2001 those should be the first two presets
Oh dang the magicbox
Artist Matt Sephton’s iPad Pro 12.9” running Deneba UltraPaint on System 7 via the BasiliskII emulator.

mysteriously, ps1 emulation has stopped working on my pc. xebra and epsxe both refuse to play anything, ven games they ran fine before. pcsx2 will run ps2 games but not ps1. bizarre.
Maybe some issue with your bios file?
maybe, but i haven’t changed anything
Any chance I could take this iso of Disney’s Haunted Mansion I found on archive dot org and play it on my PC? I never hear about Xbox emulation.
xbox emulation is definitely a thing that exists, and someone here knows about it. i can’t remember who though
Cxbx is getting better all the time. You have a 50/50 chance of the game working near perfectly (JSRF/Galleon) or crashing at startup (Halo/Otogi/Blinx).
Cool, I’ll give Cxbx and Xemu a try.
Whoa! I wonder when they’ll get Wii x DS emulation hooked up so I can finally run My Pokemon Ranch with custom pokomen
I’ve been playing Resident Evil Director’s Cut on my Playstation Classic (the NTSC version I’m running off a flash drive from the OTG connector in the back, not the PAL included version). It’s…fine! Maybe a little rough seeing that low resolution on a high resolution monitor.
Then I fucked up and booted it up in Duckstation, and suddenly there’s juuust enough blurring to the pre-rendered backgrounds to make the higher-res polygons/textures on the 3D models blend together and look really damn good.
So now I might start over all over again, and play it on my PC instead. I will never finish this game.
(I guess this post is mostly to say that Duckstation is a pretty good emulator.)
