at a certain point, the idea of games locking content off like this went from exciting imagination fuel (āwhat if thereās more than there appears!ā) to āhuh, i guess they donāt think itās compelling enough on its own, so they have to attach an artificial sense of achievement to itā.
that point was probably when playing metroid prime, where instead of concealing entrances to new areas (such as the sunken frigate), itād have those openly accessible, then throw a roadblock at you halfway through, even flashing text on screen to say ācome back when you have X powerupā.
seeing gamers pump their fists at the idea of this experience, Again, just makes me think they must all have deep seated teasing/denial fetishes

Iām pretty sad the dungeon-maker in Linkās Reawakening is apparently just a dungeon āarrangerā, as it sounds like all the rooms are prefabricated.

I got it, and got lost like I did in every 2D FF ever, so; ahā¦yeaā¦

i wanted to like it but wound up quitting it after it didnāt get any more interesting after halfway thru the second round of stories. the writing isnāt worth sitting thru frequent and long random encounters that donāt require any more strategy than āhit the elemental weakness and donāt run out of MP.ā the bosses are all damage sponges with overpowered attacks & the same strategy (use as many multi hit attacks as you can to stun them so they canāt hit you) works on all of them
just watched the two gameplay videos for watch dogs: legion and iām actually interested in it! even if only for the city and different character animations. surprising

i can only recommend checking out dogz2, or, if you donāt care about spoilers, iāve done the work for fellow SBāers already:
giving you a short glimpse in what you can experience, but pretty much can promise you wonāt in the same way, since this game is sandboxy enough to fit your personal style of playing that will deviate enough to uphold the illusikn of your personal experienceā¢
it surely is dead(sec) cheap by now!
