It’s super fun but it’s also infuriating. And half your games have terrible lag. It’s quite the experience!

lol the slow-mo games are hilarious; you have so much time to plan out your route but your inputs are delayed a full second.
like last night I thought “oh yeah, one of the reasons I was excited about this sequel was the co-op!” and I tried it for about half an hour and went god dammit
My experience with Smash online seems to hold true here: the higher ranked you are, the less lag there is.
But also, I almost never had a 4 player match that performed OK in Smash. If you could limit it to 2 players it would actually be mostly fine, I think.

(Yes, I thought of the title before a proper concept for the stage.)
I ran into the sprite limit pretty quick, so it’s rather short (the clear-check time is about 14 seconds), though it might still pack a punch.
I have a couple levels in half-finished states. They’re not quite coming together the way I wanted them to, but I’m passively thinking about them and eventually they’ll be in a presentable state I think!
The 3D World level in particular is frustrating; I feel very limited by what’s missing in 3D World. Stuff that’s simple to do in all the other styles is very convoluted to do in 3D World.
Ah yes. The process.

May be tricky due to the lack of checkpoints. Couldn’t add them due to the clear condition, which I guess wasn’t strictly necessary but was very important thematically!!
Otherwise it’s one of my more doable levels. No tough puzzles or tough platforming. Just some light exploration and some decently tricky WITCH FIGHTS.
is there a way to place the carriable stones from story mode in the course maker?
Not yet; I have to assume it’s going to be a free DLC since they added so much post-release in MM1.
Yo, this is seriously one of the neatest things I’ve seen level-design wise in Mario Maker yet. Really rad. Actually feels like a place.
Things I wish were available:
- Secret/secondary exits
- Triangle blocks
- those flashing shells from SMW that follow you
- the big angled cannon pipes from SMW
- basically just everything from SMW. The koopas that will kick their own shell at you, those green sproingy things, all of it. Super Mario World Maker.
