I keep wondering what things I’m trying out are either being done by a dozen other SMM2 makers whose levels I just haven’t found yet and which ones are even older hat to people who were on board with the Wii U.
I’m surprised Keen was such a big thing! But not that surprised I guess!
I do love seeing design philosophies that look more like 90s DOS games than Mario type stages. It’s real neat.
Super Mario world toadette is super adorable. Kinda sad this probably means peach is going to be playable in less of them now that they have a girl toad, tho.
I wasn’t keeping track of time, but I think it took me somewhere around 30-60 minutes of attempts. Once I figured out the places where you could skip past several firebars at once, the level changed from terrifying and sloggy to terrifying and gripping. (good level tbqhimo)
According to a snapshot I took, my final clear time for the stage was 1:05.540, which is significantly faster than grandpoobear’s 1:23.777. I find that hilarious and oddly comforting.
Found another puzzle level that abuses scroll lock; the platforming is a little more annoying than I’d put in a puzzle level personally, but the execution of the puzzles is solid. Slightly different twist on what I did.
