this is very good, but it’s still too hard for me. I timed out failing the second witch fight about 36 times. I am very bad. it’s going to be hard for me to ever upload a level. I don’t think I’ll be able to beat anything I’d want to make.
This is actually a pretty neat subset of Mario. It feels like a mini-game or something.
I’ve been playing many of your levels, hope y’all are getting the notifications. I still need to subscribe to a couple of folks, I just never have my switch on at the same time as SB? Will remedy soon.
Also, not sure if people have caught on to this but you can drag any powerup you like onto a checkpoint flag so that people will get it the first time.
I’m working on an underwater level currently, and next up is a more gimmicky level involving auto scrolling and (possibly) P blocks
Yeah, it requires some combination of patience, luck, and skill. The fights in the level are intentionally anxiety inducing which probably makes you play faster than you should.
I think if you give it a break and come back you’ll probably do better!

This was pretty fun to learn. I might stick with it and try to get the whole level down (although the further you get in a level like this, the harder it is to learn since you don’t get there as often). I do wish Nintendo still let you edit other people’s levels to make practice easier. Maybe I should start with a shorter/easier level first.

I doodled a classic SMB level because I’m having a very shit day. It actually made me feel better.
Lot of great levels y’all made since I last posted! Almost hard to keep up with everyone’s output.
I can make it to the end of Three Witches but the last guy is too much for me with all the fire balls. I will beat him eventually tho.
I started making another level but haven’t moved past just adding a few platforms to start. It’s going to be a Mario 3 style autoscrolling airship level called Airships 'R Us. Trying to think of a good hook before I really start in on it.
Hey @Gate88! I finally beat Big Ice Climber! It only took a couple of hours of attempts.
Really, I could say I beat it twice, since the first time I made it to the top I died by being crushed by the note block on the way down (srsly). That’s probably the hardest a game has made me laugh in recent memory (it only took a handful of attempts to make it back).
At this point I feel like I could beat it in less than 15 minutes, with how consistent I was getting towards the end.
Bottom Line: Big Ice Climber is your Getting Over It.
Ha! I theorized that was possible but 1) I thought it would be exceedingly rare and 2) I thought it wouldn’t straight up kill you, and instead just make you lose big Mario. Guess I should have tested it! Well that’s hilarious anyway. Glad you only had to beat it twice!
