It definitely contributed to me picking up the remaster
TIL that weather affects the accuracy of crossbows which is bullshit
Hands down best FF
Hey, I had forgotten to answer to you.
I will play 25th Ward.
Flower sun rain… I played it on the DS, but it’s really a chore even if very original in its intent and with cool music. I wish I could play the PS2 version (hopefully they will translate it at some point…), the DS version is pitiful. Even if it contains some magic.
now i want to start that new game minus playthrough of 12 i meant to get around to
all it took was one screenshot
FSR felt like the perfect game to enjoy while on holiday. You don’t have to pay a hundred percent attention and can just vibe with the music and do math. Not a great game overall but one that stuck with me.
25th Ward has some excellent music. They tie up FSR in a brief but interesting segment as well.
I paid the debt back in Katana Kami and the smithy’s daughter came back.
Except now she’s a skeleton
Everyone is acting like nothing’s wrong
This rules, but: Help
Don’t send Nanami such awful things next time!!
Take your new skeleton girlfriend into the dungeon to meet her family!!!
you gotta turn your sword into a skeleton to bone her
TWO OF US ARE TELLING THE TRUTH AND ONE ALWAYS LIES
The girl was in jail and got angry when I smuggled her alcohol
Do I really want to marry her, honestly
the blacksmith’s skeleton daughter is a perfectly respectable young lady how dare you
I started playing this today. Did you write a guide for it?
I’ve done nothing so far except do the tutorial dungeon and then got game anxiety from the one-day countdown to reduce debt without knowing how that actually works.
Not yet! Trying to figure out how to organize it. I can give you some quick tips to help ease you through the anxiety though.
For debt/blacksmithing:
- You reduce debt by paying money when the lender visits. You can tell him to visit early if you wanna get it out of the way when you have enough money to pay it.
- This means, if you have something like 500 - 1 day, that the next day you’ll have to pay 500 coins.
- You can pretty easily make the necessary amount by filling sword orders and dungeon crawling. Even if you’re just autofilling an order, you’ll meet payments for a while before you start to feel any pressure.
- After a while people will start to ask for more specific weapons of higher tiers. I think it’s related to their military strength but I’m not sure.
- If you want to get rid of an order, just send one fake sword. You’ll take a rep hit but it’ll change the order, usually to something easier.
- You can start overfilling orders basically from the start, which gives you a big bonus to a payout, especially if you give them higher quality (3+) swords. You’ll quickly outpace the lender payments.
-
If you can’t pay, you can prostrate to the lender and he puts off your debt if you are in good standing (which you start with, and get by making payments).
Try not to stress yourself out too much about the debt payments. Katana Kami is exceptionally lenient as long as you aren’t actively sabotaging yourself. I fucked up a bunch in the early game while figuring it out and I got ahead of the lender anyway. Just make sure you’re engaging with the orders every day.
Perhaps this is a good time to ask what orders are and how one overfills them?
God Hand no shop
Time For a Little Fun
Explore the blacksmith’s shop thoroughly. Not sure exactly when stuff unlocks (might need to do one dungeon run first) but all the business order/smithing stuff is done at the forge, the order book, and Dojima.
