Turns out I have eleven Western original-Xbox games—a list that includes, like, Intellivision Lives! And Atari Classics Collection, alongside Morrowind, Final Fight Streetwise, Half-Life 2, and the like.
Most of the rest is Sega and SNK shit, with the occasional Konami or Capcom or Taito opus.
The xbox doesn’t have any official light gun hardware, so I think that Madcatz light gun was pretty much the only one, and House of the Dead 3 and Silent Scope the only games that used it. So that might explain it.
Panzer Dragoon update: I can’t believe how hard this game gets! I’ve resorted to using the charged shot very little so I don’t over-rely on it since mashing the hell out of the shoot button is much faster and more effective. But the game is still kickin my ass! I literally yelled “NO! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME” when I saw that Episode 5’s boss had a second form, and still have yet to clear it. If this is how hard Episode 5 is I shudder to think about Episodes 6 and 7
good news: the Xbone runs it, go buy a used bone for cheap and then throw 10 bucks at MS and you have 1080p Orta that’s also guaranteed to be forwards compatible (XboneX already runs it at 4k so I guess the skies the limit for the XSEX)
my xbone x is proving to be unsellable so if anyone really wants to play panzer dragoon orta in like 3 months when the quarantine ends i will literally give you the fucking thing if only to remove the cursed object from my bloodline
Been playing more old games since my internet been falling down
stuff like Doom Eternal, Quake 3 (i send that monk to heaven on hurt me plenty), Unreal Tournament and finally doing more stuff on ace combat 7
@TheGrimCorsair holy heck, i think mission 7, where there cliffs below and clouds above, imagining your doing your run first person cabin only, holy heck that sounds tough a lot, i loved that mission.
also i forgot, i played Earl Day’s off, and heck, i did got trouble trying to catch stuff that was not fish on it
I remember up to that point the funny option feeling out of character. it was in the second half where she started matching everyone else’s crass remarks.
