A week or two ago, I ranked 110 on Big Forest Normal in Virtua Racing for Switch. I thought I could easily beat that time and break the top 100, but I haven’t managed to beat it yet–I think I’ve lost the feel for the last bend in that track.

So I switched over to Grand Prix mode this evening, and just now I ranked 43 on Big Forest Grand Prix!

I love how nonchalant your username is about it

43 is good enough

I’ve had access to the Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age’s final dungeon for a while, but I’ve been slowly tying up loose ends before heading for the ending. I know of a few things I still have left to do:

  • the last 3 or 4 marks, including Yiazmat
  • the second part of Henne Mines, including Zodiark
  • the Pharos Subterra.

But it seems I’m underleveled or inadequately set up to make progress in the mines and Subterra. And I already stumbled upon and defeated Hellwyrm–I’m not interested in that kind of drawn-out experience again, so I don’t care to pursue Yiazmat.

I’m just gonna go for the ending now.

Having Reverse + Decoy on one character can get you pretty far, especially with black or red mages as damage dealers

It’s not really worth it if you don’t feel it though. Zodiark made me so mad

Thanks, yeah I’m not feeling it right now. Maybe later down the line.

The finale of the Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age was kind of a joke compared to my previous hours of late-game busywork: my party brushing off all the bosses’ cinematic, apocalyptic attacks like they’re nothing. Those cinematic attacks looked pretty rad though.

Generally, were the in-engine cutscenes reworked much for the Zodiac Age? If not, they’ve held up incredibly well over the past 13 or so years.

I am replaying Fallout 3 and it is so much more bland than I remember. I think I was blinded by the fact it was the first time I was getting new Fallout after thinking I would never get to play a new one again.

Yeah FO3 is definitely the worst, it’s the Oblivion of the series

Super same. I looked at FO 1+2 countless times in stores and magazines, almost whatever the PS2 one was. Then bought 3 on a lark and was blown away. Then sobered up w/the better shit.

I got the urge to play because I was playing F76 and remembered that I never played the DLC in F03 beyond Broken Steel. I just finished the Alaska simulation and I am thinking that it may not be worth it to try out the other ones. The voice acting is really making it hard to power through. Plus being bland as hell.

The expansions aren’t great, no

the best fallout is still fallout tactics

Today I struggled for a bit with a puzzle in Stephen’s Sausage Roll, quit for dinner, had an idea, used it to beat the puzzle, forgot how I did one part of it, looked up the solution online and realized that said puzzle has a nice, sensible, clever solution that I never came close to figuring out and instead decided that a whole section of the puzzle was a giant red herring and not the actual linchpin to it.

Take that, Stephen and your supposedly immaculately crafted puzzle game, I may not have figured out what trick you had up your sleeve but you didn’t even anticipate mine :shuffle:
