moonside is ANNOYINGLY OVER TALKED ABOUT and no first time experience can counteract that. i can see why someone would call it overrated for sure
the dungeons are kind of always a low point for me. the sewer dungeon where you fight bugs and wade through mud suck, i always forget the Stonehenge dungeon exists so it sucks. the pyramid has interesting hard fights so i like it
No, see, that would be a preferable way to experience it! I like it great in that context! But it’s the back-and-forth between scalding cups of coffee on the one hand and trying to navigate Cave Innards to that music on the other that makes it just a little bit agonizing.
My only problem with Mr Saturn is that they set the bar too high for the Tenda later on, so the latter just feel like poor also-rans in a game already overflowing with novelties.
The dungeons are earthbound’s weakest element but they’re so short and easy for the most part that they’ve never really bugged me. The only one i really hate is the diamond mine, because it’s actually kind of tough.
i been playing block’hood. it’s charming looking block based citybuilder with a fierce spreadsheet optimization game underneath. also it has a part where a pig crests a hill and says ‘hey dudes’. extremely my brain shit
I did my usual semi-annual test to see if my tree city still works. Raiden Fighters 2 and Jet, followed by Guwange arrange mode.
Yep, still works.
Now, really, would it kill m$ to release a patch so I can play all those xblig dollar games I bought without having to go online? Sucks to have to string cable down from the attic just because they were too cheap to include the wifi dongle and I wanna play prismatic solid or w/e.
somehow my january game backlog this year has turned into The Aimlessness Collection, like I’m concurrently noodling on Pathologic 2, Death Stranding, and 10 Beautiful Postcards, and I think that may all be a bit much
Been playing Project Mirai on 3DS and just finsihed all the songs on Easy. It’s a rhythm game where the option to play Puyo Puyo with the boys and girls of Crypton Future Media is more prominent in the game menus then the rhythm game itself. I at first thought all the interaction you could do with the Vocaloids were just little distractions until I noticed that there are in-game achievements for becoming friends and best friends with them all. No clue how much secret depth is actually here!
Been getting a lot of catchy tunes stuck in my head
The cute songs seem to fit the Nendoroid style best. I think there was an implied beheading in one of the music videos though? Not like I can understand much since none of the lyrics are translated. The character models in this seem more expressive then what I’ve seen of in Project Diva.
I think the issue is that after F 2nd had translated lyrics, everyone and Sega realized that they’re nice but actually trying to look at them while playing is a bad time
odds are good the song(s) you care about are on YouTube with a translation anyway
