How difficult is it to transform? Can you switch between them easily or should you really choose and stick to one form?
I think it’s over a dozen steps and some are kinda unclear but it’s pretty simple. You snap in two parts at the armpits to keep the rear wheels locked in. The headlights in the kneecaps came loose during the transformation and that may be due to an error I made during assembly, I dunno. Transforming it back into robot mode was no problem so I think you can go back and forth without issue. It’s pretty sturdy!
oh my god nib trimming is so fun i love how detail oriented this is!!
Yeah, tweezers will be helpful. Or anything really thing you can use for precision placement. And exacto knife works too.
I find panel lining the most relaxing part because making long straight lines feels like you’re accomplishing a lot very quickly with little effort.
after fucking up on the upside down eyes (look how sleepy his face is now) i decided all future sticker placement will be PERFECT.
MORE PERFECT STICKERS. i would blame the lighting for my pink finger, and i would be accurate but instead im going to say tiny sticker placement is the ear reddening game of gunpla
the finger reddening move
DONE WITH THE ACTUAL ROBOT
AND IVE GOT ALL THESE PIECES LEFT
oh whoops i forgot to include the picture of extra hands and guns and stuff, this dude comes with a stand so imma make that now
OH WHOOPS DONE WITH ALL THE WEAPONS AND THURSTERS woosh
he flies
he threats
WHAT FUN, BUILDING A GUNDAM. GOOD THING I HAVE FOUR MORE
question! HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE ALL THE EXTRA PIECES i hate hate HATE keeping boxes around i want some kind of drawer system
also i need one of those wire magazine holders the way the runners stick to eachother makes me paranoid a piece is gonna snap out and get lost
Looking at the boxes is like half the appeal though.
I’d say unless you get a better system just put things for a particular model in a ziploc bag. I’ve been doing that now, though I put the ziploc bag in the model’s box because I love looking at those boxes.
yeah ive been doing the ziplock bag into a box but like thinking of having FIVE BOXES is really stressing me out so i gotta figure something out
Yeah Ziploc bags are the way to go though I’ve only once ever used extra pieces for anything (turning my shitty Galdbaldy Rebake into a coffee colored Galbaldy). Like, I thought I’d want to hoard all this shit just in case I ever lost a poly cap or some shit but that’s yet to happen so I have tons of plastic I will never use but will never, ever get rid of.
I just unfold all but my largest box from a finished kit and just label all my ziplocs and store them in the one box
