The gunpla store was completely out of nippers! And mostly out of kits, their only high grades were p-bandai $$ ones. Guess there’s been a big rush on gunpla and we’re all trendsetters

I just bought two kits from “Heavy Metal L-Gaim,” an anime I knew nothing about because they were 30% off. Turns out the series was directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino a year before Zeta. Turns out it has perfect music
Turns out I need to watch this show.

did you know I loved five star stories for years before gundam and when I was watching zeta for the first time I was like DAMN THE QUEBELEY LOOKS A LOT LIKE CLOTHO and then I went on the internet and I wish I did this the day I got into five star stories

That’s a great piece of trivia. I’m going to be living on that one tomorrow. I think I’m working on the gold one you’re talking about, the AUG. It’s the first kit I’ve made that’s not Gundam. I opened it up and thought, “wow, so many runners.” Now I’m building it and thinking, “wow, so many undergates.” It’s funny to stand it up next to a RX-78-2 because it’s so big and shiny.

I built my plastic injection mold machine!!
I put a sticker on slightly crooked and it’s too late to do anything about so I’m going to pretend it doesn’t bother me

forcing myself to get over fears and prime shit, so I primed the base of my injection molding machine (pretty decently!) and then fucked it all up with gundam markers and acrylics. it looks ‘fine’ from far away and I’m excited to get better

So I was gifted a model kit by my Secrete Santa but I don’t think I have the necessary tools. What’s the bare minimum, just a hobby knife and a pair of nippers or something?
