One of my weekly challenges was get ten kills with the hydra. Took me forever because I couldn’t find the weapon spawn panel in BTB matches i was playing. I had to play fiesta over and over to hope to randomly get the weapon and get a kill before getting killed by someone with a sword or rocket launcher. I would often go several matches without getting the weapon, let alone kills with it.
The hydra is awful imo
It’s not completely useless, though – you can indeed get kills with if you hit your shots.
The ravager, on the other hand, is pure trash and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a kill with it directly.
I got a lucky kill steal with it once or twice
As someone who hasn’t played a halo in a long time, the weapons are really unreadable in this. There are like 20, I don’t know what half of them even do, and they all look the same. I guess this is what happened when they lost developers who liked video games and hired a group of engineers to Ctrl c call of duty
Conversely, while it took me a while to learn them, my favorite part of infinite is how distinct, and physical, and gamey the guns are in a way I didn’t expect was something I’d see in an FPS, and find the weapon selection mostly a fun toolbox to play with in the for the most part great maps.
not sure i agree – the guns are definitely strange (even for someone that has played all the recent halos) but i don’t think they look identical nor do any of them feel like call of duty guns
I agree with you. The hydra seems okay if I am using on vehicles with the tracking, otherwise I am just hoping for a splash damage kill in fiesta.
The lock-on does half damage against other players (and besides, is easily dodged). Stick with the free fire mode.
Oh well that would explain it lol
I hate this login bonus time period approach — it’s so nakedly capped at a median target rate of free accrual, but to frustrate and drive daily activity/purchases rather than reward intrinsically.
i have 2300 words about Halo and trans women set to be edited and published in a gaming publication 8)
i’m getting paid for writing about video game 8)
am quoting Isabel Fall, SR Holliwell, Zinnia Jones, Tim Rogers, & more
omg yes! There’s so much all over Bungie’s work.
I read the foreword to a D2 anthology book and looked up the author to learn that, of course, a good chunk of what captivates me about that game was written by a nonbinary woman.
This quotation felt a little too specific to be horoscope vaguery.
Many of you choose to play as Awoken, adopting the role of beings who were twice-alienated: both by the amnesia of a Guardian’s resurrection and the trauma of an undesired transformation. What was it about the Awoken that drew you to them? Did you like the idea of being a mystery to your own self? Both human and alien—both “us” and “other”? Perhaps even identify with them a bit?
i did the coolest thing i’ve ever done in a video game last night playing halo infinite
- two dinguses roll up into our base with a rocket hog
- i grapple hook my way into the turret, kicking one dingus onto the ground
- i then rocket that doofus to death while the other doofus drives around in a panic because an enemy is in the turret
- the driver thinks “i will take us both down then” and proceeds to drive off a cliff
- i predicted this and managed to get out of the turret just in time, literally grabbing the edge of the cliff just as the car launches into the abyss
it ruled even though it contributed nothing to the match at large
They also have the scores for the rest of the series available too, mainline, side titles and even the scarce full length films.
The easiest way to enjoy this game is to remember the cosmetic stuff is BS and to just play.
