The Midnight Sons one in the bondage outfit is my favorite. I was so bummed when I grabbed that reprint of his first appearance as a kid and saw that deep v neck and the sash. Totally not cool.
I think he has a daughter in the comics now that has the 90s cartoon hands plus the leather get-up.
Right! The Ghost Rider-fication of a bunch of characters in the early 90s is so much cooler than the gold magic thing theyâre going for with the character designs in that new game.
and they made daimon hellstrom into a kind of bootleg john constantine. but marvel being marvel, every comic was still full of big colorful characters super-wrestling each other. like this unbelievably 90s guy:
was in a theater for the first time in 18 months yesterday and saw that the Marvelâs The Eternals Trailer had built-in captions and that the immediately prior Marvelâs Spider-man Whatever Trailer did not have them, which has driven me to new depths of bitter cynicism
After being very bored by Black Widow I thought I had finally broken through my weakness for Marvel movies, so it is with mixed emotions that I report that Shang Chi was actually kind of cool. It did end with giant CGI blobs floating around shooting beams at each other but other than that I found it very engaging
oh also for some reason iâve coincidentally been watching every bruce lee movie, and i am not going to pretend shang chi holds a candle to any of them, but when i saw what the big bearded white dude heavy looked like i definitely mentally did the pointing leonardo dicaprio meme.
