and Jean Reno, how willfully stupid
post-3D Capcom was always the best at glorious idiocy

CoD WWIIâs level/encounter design is (with one exception, the one Mark Brown talked about) very tamped down, a deliberate throwback to Allied Assault/CoD1. Parts of the first mission felt more like a lightgun shooter (drag your comradeâs body around until three Nazis appear, shoot them, drag the body some more, etc.).
It also lacks context about the war in the MW-on way, which is unnervingly bloodless considering.
What did Jean Reno do to deserve this harshness? Clue me in please
Jean Renoâs Gallic cool only makes âfight demons through history and the Arc de Triompheâ even goofier!
my young self was like âefff yes! Leon the Professional Baby!â but now itâs just so baffling that Capcom did that.
it was claimed to be the highest budget game of all time when it came out
Oh idk lol its just pretty good. It doesnât look super good but itâs from the late ps2 wii era where nothing looked good so shrug. The car combat is cool, driving backwards is cool, spinning around is cool. The tracks are good. When you go into hyper speed mode it looks nice. Itâs not gonna blow your head off but itâs worth playing
Onimusha 1 is great you jerk. It is on my list of pwease gib me in 4k mesta capcom pwease.
Can we handshake over âuninspired and solidâ? It meets the style of the time but doesnât figure out 3D action like Devil May Cry started to at around the same time.
I think its more than solid, its like genuinely beautiful and moody and atmospheric, uh takeshi kaneshiro is good, idk I like how its mostly based on really deliberate movement instead of jumping everywhere?
I mean I like both games a lot but I think I prefer onimusha? Also it plus the resident evil remake are def like a last hurrah for prerendered backgrounds.
This. Also devil May Cry 1 blows. Onimusha is an enjoyable 4 hour game.
In other capcom news I played through Tron Bonne. I was filled with fear at the number of people that have devoted themselves to the training minigame or finishing all missions. It is charming and the puzzle levels were real good but trying to 100% this game is a real bad time.
I tried to start MML2 but i died at the first boss and got booted to the title screen (Tron let you retry) and I went hmmmm.
I finished the morning putting all my PS3 digital games into folders finally organizing that after 11 years.
i was all good w this until you said dmc1 blows. how can it blow when it has first person underwater segments
I guess it just holds it breath at those parts
The Onimusha 3 intro was the most impressive thing Iâd ever seen up to that point by far. Zero idea how it holds up. The funny thing about Jean Reno is they have him speak French at the beginning of the game and then do a plot device where a fairy translates his dialogue so they can pay a different voice actor to do all his lines for the rest of it, even though he speaks English irl just fine.
Onimusha 2 was the only good one, it was more open ended and discouraged button mashing. Onimusha 1 is trash and was not even remotely close to being as atmospheric and rad as DMC1.
how did it discourage button mashing? issen mechanic was in both games anyway
i canât play dark souls 3 but i can play nioh
not really a game Iâm played lately (all Iâve played for two months is monster hunter and games for snexploration) but in my âhighest priorityâ backlog I have forsaken all genre and just categorize games by mood
which games are big mood
I deleted the app instead I think this was the best course of action
