i tried the grapple force rena demo from galaxy trail
grappling felt pretty decent, and picking up and tossing stuff felt good. the boss was neat
im not sure im liking how they’re coloring their sprites but eh
i played FM5 again.
this game is bad.
the writing is worse.
do not recommend anyone ever play this game. just play FM3.

i just wanted a dumb robot punching game but i can barely reconfigure even my mechs because there’s a tiny subset of parts you can use and they’re all same-ish and weight restrictions are ridiculous, and all you do is link-up by having everyone gang up on individual targets, which also makes most long range weaponry less useful because AP consumption is out of this world
as far as i can tell one of the best strategies is just to make a team of four punchy dudes and surround an enemy, having everyone punch them to death, because AP consumption for melee is minimal so you can just stack up to 16 of them on one dude in one turn and all the highest defense equipment makes you basically unkillable but also have garbage accuracy with real weapons
i was okay with the writing until the female commander was added and HOO BOY is the reaction of your military bros ever “lol women right?” and of course she overreacts emotionally and i’m just not okay with this sort of trashy garbage anymore. when MGS has better treatment of women you need to give up
Hey I finished Uncharted 4 finally. Not too bad, though I’m going to need a long break before I can even imagine playing that spinoff game.
A few spoilers:
Cute ending where the daughter finds out about Mom and Dad’s adventures but I wonder what she’ll think of their kill counts. No supernatural twist! I was actually a little disappointed by that.
I think the second game is still the best in the series, though.

bc of @sleepysmiles’s earlier post in the thread i started king’s field ii again. and holy shit this game is so beautiful
and pretty intricately designed, too. i love how everything is interconnected and people talk about other places and people and they’re related to each other and stuff, there’s a real sense of place in this videogame.
the beginning is a little daunting and confusing but once you have decent weapons and are able to drink from this gorgeous fountain of piss and restore your mp a lot of places open up.
also there’s this douche guy and we live in a world where the sky is fake, this is the best videogame.

i was going to comment on it (it’s obviously an artifact of the compass thing being a low poly sphere and the “N” getting all distorted) but refrained from fear of being too juvenile.
but who am i kidding that shit was on my mind at least 15% of the time while playing the game and i even tried to find the position that would maximize how much it looks like the compass just says “sex”.

There was a pretty good deal on an xbox live membership so I bought titanfall 1 and destiny 1 for three dollars each, looking forward to having a shitty but also kind of interesting time for the next three months.
Titanfall 1 rules. Swiss cheese maps and fully custom mech loadouts are unmatched. The slide in 2 is a false idol that distracts from the empty spaces in the maps.
