I’ve had Ring Fit Adventure for a few weeks now and I’ve cleared about 5 worlds. It is more game than past Wii Fit style games but it is making me desire more games using this pilates ring and thigh strap. The jogging bits are making me just want a Sonic game where I run myself to exhaustion to keep up speed and use the ring to balance on grind rails and raise it up to have Tails grab my hand and fly me off. I could see a light Zelda style game could work by using a glider and bow and arrow you could mimic with the ring controls.

If it wasn’t solely tied to the fitness software this could be a great platform to be a half step to VR games that nintendo seem to want to experiment with from the Lab-O games but don’t want to commit to any full sized games.

Ring Fit itself is a pretty fun way to tick my brain to burn a few calories. It’s no replacement for any kind of strength training but does get the muscles activated enough to get you nice and sweaty. Who knew that what the world needed was a RPG powered by fitness to reward our lizard brains.

gosh where’d you get it, i keep looking

I was kinda hoping for some DLC or extra stuff like Labo received but designed specifically for the ringcon. It seems weird to put all this R&D into a device that never receives any follow up. I guess the main barrier is having players physically do all that for more than an hour at a time. It works for short chunks but I wouldn’t want to use that controller for long stretches.

I liked the small environments, but my memory tells me that the switching back and forth felt perfunctory and not too exciting.

imho link should’ve stayed smol the entire game after the prologue, and the kinstone stuff should have been focused on convincing normal-sized folks to do simple normal-sized tasks that smol link couldn’t do.

the kinstone shit is so tedious as it is. at least it’s relatively painless compared to all the nightmare collectables in wind waker

I got mine from amazon when Wario64 on twitter said they were in stock. They often sell out in minutes but I got lucky.

I did the same but it was GameStop when I caught the tweet. I’ve been seeing it get restocks at various outlets the past few weeks of Wario64 and Cheap Ass Gamer notification tweets.

Halo 3 is so good, oh my god. Thank you for putting a center dot in the reticle so NOOBS like me can play.

I started a normal solo run with some skulls, namely Iron, which resets your level if you die. So I died twice, said “fuck this”, and played from the last checkpoint with the skull turned off. It didn’t count me as having completed the level, so I guess it’ll have to wait until I play it co-op lol.

Wait you level up in Halo?

(I’ve played like, 2 hours of the original a million years ago in co-op and maybe about two hours of ODST a long time ago as well).

Or do you mean like no checkpoints in levels/stages

the latter lol

iron skull is crucial in co-op tho!!

Played through it one sitting! I guess there’s secret shit I didn’t find but I can’t be assed to go track it down because the game is juuuust about starting to overstay its welcome, especially with that bullshit annoying last boss.

Great game.

Was able to clear 1000m Drill Tour in Mr. Driller DL…only with the overpowered Usagi that has all of the strengths of the other characters combined and fast air percent drop as the only drawback. Still felt like an accomplishment but I couldn’t do it with any other character. Also it’s in casual. Can’t imagine I would be able to clear much in OG/cube mode.

just scraped through stage six in Bloodstained: CotM via a combination of brute force and dumb luck. was down to the wizard and Not!Alucard by the end, and they in turn were down to one bar of health apiece

starting to recall why I never went back to the old Castlevanias after beating them the once- not sure I’ll be able to complete this now

marina and i continued our stubborn persistence in traversing gaps with unruly warthogs in halo 3 today

our first attempt was inspired but ultimately a failure as the rock face proved to be too slippery to support proper jumpage via grenades

we went back to the drawing board after accidentally restarting the level (lol) and came up with a new plan of attack. enter…THE BEAM

one plasma grenade later…

BLAM, theres your fuckin warthog safely on the other side and with all wagon axles intact!

halo 3 marine voice LET ME SHOOT, IM IN A REAL BAD MOOD, LETS GO GET SOME SKEETS!!!
