dark souls is already very funny though along those same lines
Hahaha I remember saying this on your stream when you were still pretty early in the game and wondering about the tone of the game
It’s something I spotted from the very first conversation with and I was enthused that it was true the whole way through. Ahti is a top tier character
I feel like the plot kinda shifts it from bureaucracy to meritocracy and an inversion of the topdown power structure implied in the DLC by the inevitable inversion of the giant triangle. The hiss was merely a hostile takeover of this company/triangle that might have been worse than the board but the board still sucks. The DLC gets into the implications a bit more but not sure where it will ultimately end up.
i basically ignored this game until this conversation made it sound extremely interesting and thats reason #0451 that i love this forums community. you’re all very good at filtering which recent games with boring titles are actually cool
Control also has excellent musical setpieces and I will leave it at that.
I think this is the meat of the question it’s asking. Obviously the structure has been shaken up but every pledge she makes to ‘do it different’ rings quite a bit hollow and is played ironically when they put an edge in her voice. She’s pledged change but outlined almost no specifics that correct The Bureau’s autocratic shortcuts next to the real danger of the outside and unknown.
She brings a personal sense of being wronged but no specific positive project – so can she do more than clean up a mess?
It positions the bureaucracy of The Bureau as just as much an unchangeable threat as the paranormal incursions. If Jessie can only react to crises, she’s destined to fail as each director has in turn.
also everyone thinking ahti is swedish instead of finnish is extremely funny but only if you’re european. I love remedy games lol
I should say my above yeesh was thinking about playing this game during month 4 of quarantine. It has become a bit too close to home as it were.
The one music set-piece is a real highlight in for me pretty standard 20 hour AAA video game.
Demon’s Tilt rules a whole lot
Slipstream doesn’t
this is already as far as I ever got either writing or testing this in the past and I’m doing a vastly better job tbh
is there going to be a part where somebody leaves their chocobo parked outside of work for several days and the boss winds up believing they’re a real go-getter but in reality they’re not
hmmm I can actually use that for one scene, thanks
that mustadio costanza’s a real workhorse!
Don’t forget Ramza’s puffy shirt and that time Mustadio Costanza told a girl he was a marine biologist.
These potions… are making me… thirsty!
The undead lake was angry that day my friends
Like Gafgarion trying to send back soup at a deli
maybe the chocobos ate your baby
Have Ramza say Trans Rights
honestly Ramza is more likely to think All Lives Matter sounds inspiring and wholesome
delita says fuck blue lives
