Well I used to like words but I hate them now, after reading that piece of shit
Loaded up Gloryhole of Heracles III, and it seemed like it was goofy enough to be worth spending more time with, but battles are pretty slow and there seems to be a set encounter rate thatās very frustrating when you consider how little damage you do to enemies (the women sold into slavery are stronger than the protagonist ā they do 9 damage, the hero does 7).
Within the first fifteen minutes, youāre given a Pixie Posse, then youāre denied entrance into a town, so you visit a nearby town and steal a dead womanās dress from her mourning parentsā house and wear it to trick the Slave Trader into escorting you into the town you were denied entrance to in order to be sacrificed, and then you escort girls waiting to be sacrificed to safety underground but not before encountering the Richest Man in Town whose slaves all died in the sewers and who forces his way into the front of your party. Youād think a guy who writes 20,000 word essays where every other sentence is a reminder that heās an artist would also understand that the corporation that holds the copyright on a work is not its creator, but
āItās rare we get a relationship as good and interesting as DC Comicsā Scott Free and Big Barda.ā
But
Portrait of me, and my family dealing with me, right now
Iām playing Super Robot Wars Alpha again for the first time in almost 2 years. The combat system clicked again for me tonight, and Iāve gotta say, what a delightful game. Would have been extra nice if it had supported the PS Mouse though.
I think Paratopic shows a lot of core competency in areas that Adios doesnāt. Like, to me, just the way in which youāre always made to stare at this model that alternates between his single idle animation and doing nothing is bizarre. Itās as if an Assassins Creed crowd NPC was the centerpiece of a game. Paratopic stylizes conversations by playing w/ extreme angles, disorienting cuts & swimmy ps1 textures, which primes u for the entire gameās visual language, solves the issue of ārealistic dialogueā and looks interesting in & of itself.
cursed question:
is Doc the Tim of a New Generation?
oh no
jesus what a fucking clown.
anyways. iām replaying wizardry 1 in bsnes. thought i would finally give that emulator a shot because 1) iām sick of retroarchās shit and 2) given recent events, i felt it would be a good idea. emulator itself is really good, and wizardry is always cool as hell. and unlike certain other developers in this thread, iām pretty sure nobody involved with wizardry has ever sent me death threats. so you know, hey.
i like
THAT NIGHT, STEEPED BY BLOOD RIVER
Pagan: Autogeny
The Space Between
Fatum Betula
NORTH (by Outlands)
which are all different from Paratopic in their own ways but give me Paratopic-ish vibes. also afaik no weird dev drama attached to any of those games.
no
Doc using forum post as a pejorative on medium is rich

in alpha 3, chunās spinning bird kick does 12 hits on block and takes 20 percent of a health bar, you can chip people out like itās super
I got a PS5 and the first thing I played on it was Assault Android Cactus
my most played game on a 3070 so far is quake
Took a bit of time, but I think Iām starting to see whatās so attractive about Cruelty Squad.
I read this as
my most played game of 3070 so far
haydee
i refuse to link or show an image of this game on principle.
it is a vile assault on the senses. everything is designed to make you see as much of your tight thong and heaving mommy milkers as possible. the game has no checkpoints and is both needlessly mean and totally barren of charm. you have limited saves and there are many ways to die (falling and robots, mainly) which cause you to lose lots of progress. itās going for a low budget portal aesthetic, but since the main character of the game is jack-off fuel, it mostly just comes across as pathetically lazy
my friend got this game for me to play in a dm call with him and once we played half an hour we refunded it. fucking terrible. if i had the power to delist this trash from steam i would
fort zombie
even now itās still kinda fun. unlike state of decay, itās more of an RPG - almost like if NWN was a zombie game. very isometric feel to it. rudimentary physics and the zombies explode into perfectly stiff mannequin parts when you whack them apart in melee. make sure to always walk, and to duck around buildings if a zombie spots you. also expect to see āTorso Missā a LOT. charming in the jankiest way, exactly how i remember it.
the several recent positive steam reviews for Fort Zombie are baffling to me but somehow that game has consistently managed to charm people since 2009 even though it is barely functional
I think the Stanley Parable Demo does this a few times and is probably better than the majority of The Stanley Parable for it.
alpha 3 is a great game made with solid building blocks but the blocks are stacked upside down, iād really like to like, learn how to modify CPS2 games and do a balance hack
also thatās what alpha counterās for, baby
