Wrong thread get outta here
I played all of quantum theory on ps3 and it rules tbh. The guns are great
we went over this already
Iāve never heard anyone dislike these games?
Alpha Protocol used to be this but then everyone found out that game was great
I think maybe less people like or can stand Arcanum nowadays then even a decade ago?
Speaking of Boiling Point: Road to Hell, I liked The Precursors quite a bit.
yeah that was a good list (Iāll always public defend MurderDog IV)
Now Jazzpunk, thatās a big hateable target and an excellent candidate for this thread. Bravo for triggering my deep loathing
I think I just started naming games I like regardless of whether others disliked them.
This is just, Iām, itās hitting me hard. Iām wounded
I REALLY enjoyed that Thronebreaker game from CDPR that literally no one cares about
Vanilla WoW was worth about half of the time it actually took to play
Daggerfall is the greatest CRPG
STAR
WARS
GALAXIES
Frozen Cortex was really neat and much more intuitive than Synapse
New Torment, though weāve argued about that enough
I didnāt think Frog Fractions 2 was missing a trick the way some people seemed to
Escape Goat 2 is very good, just ticks all the boxes audiovisually, and no one really dislikes it but I donāt think anyone cared?
turns out this is just a list of underappreciated indie sequels
read your sermons my dude
what other crpg has concepts as interesting as CHIM and the story of the Hortator
I actually liked Contra 4 a good deal and others⦠well they might not hate it but they donāt think much of it.
I thought Phantom Hourglass worked for the most part and Iād take it over Wind Waker.
I love all the Professor Layton games while others pay them no mind.
I donāt know if people liked or disliked M.U.L.E. but I loved it too much.
In the out there world it has a number of fans, but I recall SB not caring for Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
I didnāt mind the ending of Mass Effect 3ā¦
R-Type Final was swell, but try telling that to any fans of the genre.
Mirrorās edge was one of the best games of its generation, if only for the time trials.
Someone here used to mention how bad Pixeljunk Eden is and they are wrong, the game is tremendous.
Unfinished Swan was better than Journey.
oh yeah ME3 as originally released is definitely the best one in the series
I love the squat, chunky, fisher-price aesthetic of Metroid Prime: Federation Force.
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg is Sonic Teamās best platformer by a mile.
Kirbyās Air Ride is one of the greatest racing games of all time.
Silent Hill 4 is the best in the series.
Marc EckÅās Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure is great.
R type final and mirrors edge rule yeah
How can you like those things and ALSO like Skyrim, which with Oblivion explicitly stopped caring about those things
Like the reason 4 and 5 are bad is literally because they shat all over the lore which was the very best part of TES
I mean Iāve already made the case for the extremely robust modding scene. Morrowind easily has the best lore, but Oblivion and Skyrim still have good points in other areas. I loved the Imperial City in Oblivion, you could spend hours there and still not have done everything it had to offer. Secret passages, several interesting quest chains, the works. And all of that could be expanded with mods.
Morrowindās actual gameplay, on the other hand, has aged TERRIBLY. That game is an absolute chore to play now without a truckload of quality-of-life mods. Skyrim on the other hand is downright breezy to just get movinā and fight some crabs and swear that youāll definitely get into Alchemy this time.
I think OpenMW is actually still fairly playable tbh, though Iāve only ever really played that and the Xbox version so I canāt remember how if at all it meaningfully differs from the original PC release
though the early quest arcs are lousy, the way they point you toward joining the blades at the beginning is like the worst part of the whole game
