Games That I Love And Everyone Tells Me I'm Wrong

I love Fez in a way that I love no other game, but given how the other thread went, I’m evidently wrong.

That’s fine! This is a thread of joy. Haters not allowed.

Gush if you want! Where else can you get real about liking something?

Sonic Adventure is widely loathed in the greater world, but it’s in my top 5 favorite games. I’ve gushed about it elsewhere though.

I’ve been thinking of getting that! I have the Phantasy Star one and it’s so good.

Talkin’ about the Switch thing right?

Oh yeah! I played TONS of that!

I mean, you’re not wrong, but its existence is wholly justified by that Stage 1 theme remix

I liked RE6 a lot and appreciated the audacity of being as stupidly long as it is. I’m also one of the few that didn’t mind the weird switch from horror to action movie cheek. The movement options in the game were a lot of fun and I loved all the goofy stuff like the part where one player fights off zombies in a cockpit while the other wrestles with QTEs to Learn To Fly A Plane. It’s pure camp.

i really love the psychic force games. they’re unique, fun to play, and have an awesome aesthetic!
i also really like fallout 3 and new vegas and 4. i don’t care that they’re not like the first two games, i just like the lonely post apocalyptic hiking/exploring thing.
i don’t think anyone hates ridge racer 3d, but it seems like hardly anyone has ever played it. it’s excellent!

i’m pretty sure that like 90% of people who hate sonic adventure have never actually played it and would jump off a bridge if a youtuber told them to

Spec Ops: The Line because I think it’s (intentionally) hilarious and I don’t read it as a guilt trip like many feel inclined to. I like how every (inconsequential) choice event is framed as whether to pull the trigger or not, with cheevo pops for either outcome (“Show mercy” vs. “Save a bullet” for a man crushed beneath a tanker who has no chance to escape), and some of them are even subtle, like how you can shoot in the air to dissuade an angry mob instead of opening fire on them.

Artifact ;_; or at least I want to love it but Valve is driving me insane not saying anything about it in a month or releasing any update to SAVE THE GAME

Halo 4 is the best Halo game

Hitman: Absolution is the most enjoyable corridor stealth game and I got more into it than any MGS

LawBreakers was a worthy alternative to Overwatch

I really love XIII (PC, 2004).
I love the cell shaded aesthetic, the voice acting, the dynamic music, the level design and the way the weapons feel. I even love the really difficult stealth mechanics (with the cute onscreen sound effect words that indicate your noise level).

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a positive review or impression for it. Well, outside of my first college dorm where I got an entire floor hooked on the death match demo for about a week.

I don’t know if people will readily argue that Jurassic Park on the Game Gear is a bad game necessarily but I feel like it doesn’t enough credit for being, in my opinion, the Best Jurassic Park Game

The Sky Manta boss battle in Minish Cap exhilarated me like few other boss battles in a Zelda game have, and I think the Gust Jar is the best-implemented item in the series (I haven’t played the last few mainline games though). I wish I had the talent/drive to romhack it.

i unequivocally love Wild Arms 3 and by extension the rest of the Wild Arms library. Sure the story is some kind of goofy run on sentence of stuff happening but it does so much I love. It’s like playing a weekly anime it even gives you an OP to watch when you start back playing and an ED if you use the save and quit option. Its just a good mood game.

I’m also in the “RE6 is Good actually” camp.

Peace Walker seems to get some flak here but I really liked it and its episodic structure.
