there are a bunch of others in that vein, i.e.

Bangkok Knights (System 3, C64, 1987)
Noticed a sort of cartoonish move at 11:22 where a windmill punch landing on the main character’s head squishes him down like an accordion. : P
Tetris (C64, 1988)
Another hardcore C64 soundtrack–an original 25 minute composition. Also an unexpectedly elegant visual theme.
Yo having all the tetrominos be random colors instead of set colors per shape is pretty evil I can’t imagine dealing with that at high speeds
Hadn’t spotted that, yeah that would be weird. Also people say the flicker of the pieces as they move is kind of annoying.
someone should make a tgm romhack that does this for the sounds each piece makes when it appears
King of Kings (Atlus, FC, 1988)
King of Kings (キングオブキングス)[2] is a turn-based strategy video game with wargaming elements for the Family Computer, released only in Japan. Kazuma Kaneko helped to design the characters for this video game; which became the inspiration for the characters in the video game Megami Tensei.
yikes that soundtrack sounds nice.
Fuck yes…
Don’t think I’ll be buying any meat from Grocer Hannibal
