In the absence of a “Game Writing You Read Today” thread, I’m going to post this forum thread of one guy’s Cragne Manor Let’s Play: he’ll finish the entire play-through today, plus a couple bonus episodes, and he also provides raw transcripts, saved games, and maps. You may recall Cragne Manor as a work of interactive fiction with 84 authors which I contributed to a few years ago; I was unsuccessful in my own attempt at LPing it here, so it’s gratifying to see someone else achieve what I could not.
There are some incredible rooms in here, some of which could entirely function as standalone games with only a little modification. I am particularly fond of the Meatpacking Plant Bathroom.

I tend to avoid video game YouTubers, YouTubers, and video games, but this guy who lives in Japan and is into PC-88 and 98 games popped up in my suggestions between Bjork videos today.
I really enjoyed his tour of the Falcom museum/gift shop.

The between-level intermissions show the developing relationship between Jr. Pac-Man and a small red ghost named Yum-Yum who is apparently the daughter of Blinky.
Mikie initially underwent location testing in Japan under its international title, with the same graphics and high school theme that would be used for the game’s overseas releases.[4] However, Konami chose not release Mikie as is in Japan due to the game’s premise of having a protagonist sneaking out of school after incidents of school violence at the time.[5] As a result, an alternative version was produced for Japanese arcades titled Shinnyū Shain Tōru-kun (新入社員とおるくん, “Freshman Employee Toru”), which replaces the school setting with a workplace. The classroom in the first level becomes an office and the teacher into a manager; the dance studio in the third level becomes the OL office; the other levels (the hallway, the gym, the restaurant and the outdoor garden) are mostly unchanged aside from a few graphical modifications, but the football players in the final level are instead security guards.

watching unity 3d tutorials recently. this channel seems good, any others? or game development twitch streams?
Seriously think this may may be the funniest video since Lightning Returns smoke alarm unboxing, I love this man so much, sometimes I feel like he’s the British version of me, I also spend lots of time remembering how much things cost, it’s like if he had a band and I had a band we’d somehow have the same band name and if he tried to release an album here he’d have to add a (UK) to the band name. Dunno how that sort of thing works out across the pond, maybe I’d be American Bachelor or something. Anyway I lean more towards being a Ray and his video persona has a slight taste of Roast Beef, it rocks, so many lines in this video read like this Achewood strip, I love it, I can’t wait until he does a three hour video about Master System Outrun.
