Flanders was ridiculous in that game. Pretty sure Willie is top tier also.
Foxgirl and big mustache for Granblue:
On a less friendly side they’re also also bringing in a battle pass so uuuugh.
Are there any modern fighting games that don’t have supers? Or is building meter to change tension pretty ubiquitous now?
Tekken technically does but I’d prefer it didn’t lean into rage stuff quite so heavily. The fundamentals could use more attention (movement etc).
It would function perfectly well without supers.
does virtua fighter 5fs still count as modern via its inclusion in the yakuza games?
soul calibur vi has them, but they don’t really add anything besides the opportunity to make screenshots or gifs of your OCs doing big fancy magic attacks
3rd Strike changed my life for the worse
it literally made me like this
Enthusiast makes big ol all-char moveset mod to for JJASB
Patch notes
They missed the most important change the game needs though - a faster goddamn walkspeed
Wonder if you can now open combos with something other than LP too, so pokes and footsies are a proper thing
If I ever manage to get my PS3 back I’m definitely giving this a whirl
so does pocket rumble
dungeon fighter is actually cool so this is actually cool
I’m already tired of games based on generic high fantasy F2P games but I’m also interested in any fighting game developed by 8ing
This is basically where I’m at.
I’m teetering more towards the side of “I will lap up any fighting game that has actual netcode in 2021 at this point”
I didn’t think there was much reason to yet but now I am:
The KoFXV trailer reveal scheduled for today has been cancelled with no new date set. They were still actively advertising this as late as yesterday 8 hours prior even.
Declaring it cursed.
EDIT: Probably due to Japan’s new Covid restrictions going into effect today?
that’s real anji-fuckin-mito!
Probably related to this there is now an Ultimate version of KoFXIV out on PS4 as of today with all the character and costume DLC included for 45 buck.
