In FGC related news Twitch removed the pogchamp emote from the site because gooteks continued being a dumb asshole and this time tweeted something about the assault on the capitol that was apparently the last straw.
They are talking about a replacement and my guess is they’ll replace it with a cartoon drawing of a white guy doing the pogchamp expression lol
Something about KOF15 reminds me of unreal engine clay people.
DFO fighting game is a nice surprise, although it would be nice to see ArcSys stretch a bit with their aesthetic style. I’d really like to see them do something new visually with that engine they’ve got going. I don’t know that what’s currently there even doesn’t look right, I’d just like to see something that looked a little different. DFO in particular is an extremely effect heavy game so I’d wish they would replicate that even though I know they won’t. They probably won’t even add damage numbers! I’ve wanted numbers popping out of heads constantly so much since Rival Schools but no other fighting game does it since. Eighting on the team is a nice surprise though so hopefully it has a different game feel from ArcSys’ style.
OH yeah, and that was definitely one of the better parts of the game. I just need it in a game feature more multi-hit attacks so I can see that beautiful parade of numbers.
I think honestly they hyped it up too much without meaning to. They kept calling attention to the fact that they hadn’t really shown anything and now that the trailer is out it still feels like they haven’t really shown anything. I don’t see why they thought this was going to be such a big deal after 14.
I think Autumn Games always had the rights. That’s why they can keep it going without the original dev studio. Just goes to show how strong the community is, however large or small it may be.
Who was doing what on Skullgirls was always confusing as all hell. Now I’m even more confused!
I’ve always liked the game, and I voted for Annie back in that Kickstarter survey. the situation at lab zero sounded awful, so I’m kinda interested to see how the game goes under Hidden Variable’s development.
