Finally discovered new glintstone sorceries. Can’t believe someone tried to tell me they aren’t better than the starting spell… if you give that NPC the scroll you can find early, you get some cool shit that really owns. Magic fan of knives.
I’m using glintstone arc which is incredibly useful AOE, and rock sling which does good damage and can stagger. and i have a third slot that I’m swapping things with
seriously glintstone arc just cuts through swathes of enemies all at once

It has this really unique, rich feeling about it. I can only say it’s like a bunch of different games at once while gesturing to some aesthetic touchstones like “old school RPG progression”. I really love it and think they’ve done something bizarre here. No wonder I couldn’t really sense what this game was going to be like from all the trailers leading up to the big gameplay one.

if this was DS3 I’d be in the final area rn but I have only killed godrick and there are apparently a bunch more of these lord dudes to off

i’ve been using claws – they kind of destroy anything that’s susceptible to bleed but you have to two hand them to maximize bleed stacks. the ability is a dash that goes pretty far and has great iframes. they might not be the most efficient choice but they’re super fun.

ok so there are illusory walls in this game, i was wondering how many hours it would take to find any. i was seriously prepared for all of the “try attacking” messages to be jokes

How does the SB password work in this? Does it exclusive put me in SB ghosts, bloodstains, messages, and co op mode or does it just preference that stuff among the greater internet?

I wasn’t able to figure out how to get to 2 treasures overlooking the spider monster in the castle basement ever though so I suspect I missed something there

I was summoned to beat Margit like 10 times, and my team only succeeded once. I ended up playing it solo (with PC summon and jellyfish). It took a few tries, but it was relatively much easier.

If you speak with the Scottish sounding gal outside the gates of the castle in that destitute cottage, she gives you Aurelia, which everyone so rudely calls Jellyfish.

I’m playing on base ps4 and I feel like the framerate is a bit inconsistent to the point it can be distracting. There’s also a weird kind of smearing effect I’ve noticed, mostly when the camera turns and maybe some vsync issues. I have HDR turned on so i guess that might affect it too
It’s not so bad that it ruins the experience or anything, but its definitely noticeable to me
playing on base ps4 is just ocarina of time for the modern generation
