I liked how launching the DLC and merely walking through a field of brown for 5 minutes leads to being jumped by a Bloodborne and having my soul torn apart in seconds
He also drops the Beast Claw equivalent

considering i hated whenever the base game so much as had cloudy weather the colour palette is a big reason iām not getting immediately enthused for this.
they do seem to have a strong affection for this sewage green-brown.
Did the game offer any guidance towards the DLC or did you just know where it was cuz of online
I havenāt seen the slightest hint in-game how the heck to access it
This is not really a complaint
I mean it was where I wouldāve guessed after finishing the base game, most conspicuous dead end for sure
also supports the idea that the original planning process was so massive that they just had to pick this particular chunk to excise initially, since I donāt think any DLC in history has ever been gated so deep in a game
Even if the DLC entry point makes sense narratively, I donāt think I would have guessed it having not touched the game in a couple years. But thatās really the only thing about the DLC that I had spoiled.
Also worth noting that even if you know where to look, it might not work immediately. Mine didnāt. I restarted the game a few times with no luck and only had success after restarting my console. (You can tell itās worked because on the main menu it will say āShadow of the Erdtreeā in small text in the lower right corner of the screen.)
I read that there was supposed to be a new NPC standing by the egg but I didnāt see that.
I got a very late start last night so I didnāt get to explore too much but so far Iām enjoying this more Elden Ring.
Ya I literally just got there, she popped up after I rested at the grace
Itās really cool how every single thing blows up real quick to magic in NG+, my hadokens are so powerful, I got here so fast, it rocked
Iām enjoying the replay of Elden Ring I started, but i donāt think if I want to start the DLC any time this year that Iām going to keep going with it for now. i am enjoying playing a magic user, but maybe iāll just respec. glad to have reminded myself how to play this thing tho.
i made a new character for the DLC since i have an official copy of the game now. at first i wanted to just speedrun my way into the new stuff but i ended having too much fun playing elden ring online for the first time.
i still ended up skipping a bunch of stuff and mainlining for the things that were most important for my build has and getting to the door to mohg but iām hillariously underleveled (around 85), it seems. even dumping almost everything in strength and having decent AR damage and a +16 weapon, it still feels so little for that boss. when i try fighting him as an online phantom, the numbers get even more skewed.
if i canāt get him down today i think iāll just keep playing the base game more or less normally for a while. get tougher.
I bet I wonāt be at the DLC for a few weeks in the new game I started.
had to fight wolverine as part of the Marvel/From Crossover Event this season
the backhand swords with flaming strike on them are a delight
pretty sure iām going to start eating the tree scabs now so this parade lion doesnāt one-shot me
Iām enjoying a souls game where the souls are completely irrelevant from what I can tell so far
was this how serkiro worked too I canāt remember
Havenāt really played the game and have no idea what this means but it should go on the box ^ _^
and now the game has decided iām a cheater for no clearly discernible reason and iām barred from multiplayer. cool, cool
oh, seems ok once i restarted the client
That just happened to miffy and all she did was try and summon me but maybe itās my fault, maybe itās cuz I chose my real name as the password (SEXGOD), sorry miffy
basically yeah, you essentially earned heart pieces in Sekiro lol
lowkey wish Bloodborne had worked the same way
this is a significant part of why sekiro is my favorite from software miyazaki joint
skill points and money are still resources lost upon death to some extent but neither matter nearly as much as souls do and are generally more forgiving systems to boot
bonus for never having to find your bloodstain
