If you haven’t ever signed up for Xbox Game Pass PC yet, and have an active Hulu subscription, you can get three months of Game Pass for free

Edit: Also PC gamepass seems to be available for a $1 for-the-first-month promo right now and there’s enough stuff on there that I want to check out that I’m dipping my toes back in

You can also get 3 months of Hulu free if you have Game Pass. I think the deal expires today.

I was too lazy to sign up. Is there anything good on Hulu now.

You can also get 3 free months of Discord Nitro with Game Pass Ultimate (if you’ve never used a free Nitro trial before).

I offered my code but no one wanted it so I made another account and boosted the Beautiful Game server and now voice chat sounds like an mp3 from 2001 rather than 1997.

Annoyingly hulu is where a lot of good shows that used to be netflix staples ended up, like Always Sunny and King of the Hill. There’s also What we do in the Shadows

I’m sure there’s more junk like that. Disney dumps a lot of stuff they own but wouldn’t fit their brand on there

Itch actually put up two different reproductive rights bundles up this weekend, here is the smaller one with ā€œonlyā€ 169 things in it:

I don’t know enough to know which is sending their money to a ā€œbetterā€ place. I sadly don’t think either is gonna put up the numbers prior giant bundles have as they both lack widely known games or even a lot that wasn’t in prior bundles (I suspect there wasn’t great communication in the lead up as certain bigger names who always chip in are absent here) but I appreciate the effort.

FWIW the bigger one has Hypnospace Outlaw which I think even on sale hasn’t yet dipped below $10.

Odd thing here is that the first bundle has the original release of Catlateral Damage, whereas the second bundle has the recently released Remeowstered version. Cute and fun game btw.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake is on sale for $2.49 on both PC and Steam for the next little bit, that’s a pretty alright deal.

: p KOF 2000 is currently $1.79 (70% off) on GOG:

It’s pretty much the same DotEmu stuff as on Humble Bundle–although I think maybe it includes a few more NEOGEO Unibios and system ROMs in the loose neogeo.zip ROM file it installs loose in the game folder. You can take that and the kof2000.zip game ROM it gives you, throw in the free Unibios 4.0 from the Unibios site http://unibios.free.fr, and run them nice and legal, I guess, from the MAME command line (not the MAME GUI; the MAME GUI will complain if you don’t also have every version of the Unibios ever released, for some reason), for a pretty good KOF 2000 time.

(For kicks I did try the DotEmu emulator itself: has a few oddly nice things like random soothing menu music and most but not all of the KOF 2000 MVS game options, but falls down in most other ways, for instance only running at 800p, and having no input options other than a fixed keyboard control scheme that puts your directional controls on the right (arrow keys) and the punch/kick buttons on kinda random left-hand letter keys. ^ _^)

(That kid? He can’t use his controller through DotEmu’s emu there unless he’s also using Joy2Key or something. And why is he so front and center with his NEOGEO memory card or whatever that is? I mean the emulator here DOES appear to support a save state of some kind, although I didn’t try that. And oh man those punch/kick buttons are arranged, on the wrong hand, as

{Heavy Kick} {Light Punch}

{Light Kick} {Heavy Punch}

Unusual! So yeah just use the nice legally obtained ROMs in MAME if you’re weirdly fussy about stuff like me.)

idk why, but i had instant Memorize-Flashbacks (from Remember Me PS3/360-fame) when seeing the tile/description, and after watching the trailer for republique, felt somewhat disappointed… meaning I am looking for something I cannot articulate yet.

Guess I should revisit Remember Me and see whether I still think so highly of it a decade on!

I wrote about INFRA here. I wasn’t crazy about it to be honest, the premise is better than the execution. To be fair I didn’t’ finish it.

I felt the same; I wanted to like it but it mostly consisted of Half-Life 2 crate puzzles rather than the more in-depth manipulation of tools in their proper environment I hoped for.

It’s strongest at the start when you need to take a sauna at your government civil engineering HQ. It’s the most intensely Finnish game possible.

this game is awesome, I like INFRA a lot

the voice acting in INFRA is absolutely ludicrous and worth the asking price alone. It’s just full of such deeply finnish energy. I think the levels are gorgeous in their environmental realism. The game reminds me of my misspent youth doing urban exploration whenever I could, and it accurately portrays the ā€˜look’ of real abandoned places.
