For people who want to come along for hard mode: similarly to how heroic strikes dropped blues up to 365 (non-engram) prior to the update, now they drop up to 385 which is a good way to get up to level

So I got a chance to play Density on the Quattro with my old character but holy shit is it ever overwhelming jumping back in I got quest markers and all kinds of shit, its info overload.
Anyway, Im moving in with this cat so when I do I’ll have Destiny on a larger basis but I gotta decide what I want to do as far as my character and shit. Should I just restart? But thats so sad…
nah definitely no reason to start over, everything would be just as overwhelming then. raid team’d be glad to have you
I mean, you could use the Spark of Light consumable to get your character to level 40 and geared up sufficiently to just play through Rise of Iron’s stuff but yeah

leveling is trivial, and don’t you get a level 40 booster thing in your inventory anyway, even if you’re not starting from scratch??
Slowly been grinding my way up to 350 so I can finally do heroic strikes. I finished the story missions but I still have forgotten everything and now I have 32 quests and no idea what to do. These include leftovers that I never finished in Taken King.

a lot of the old quests can be dropped or ignored really
at the moment pretty much anything in the game will drop ‘smart loot’ that’s 1-5 levels higher than your current ll up to 385, where it gets a bit harder
you can run the normal mode wrath of the machine raid at 350, though you’ll be a bit delicate at the final boss & you’re massively overpowered for all of the previous raids if you haven’t done those and want to check them out
I dont have Taken King, let alone Rise of Iron.

I think we got heroic Siege Engine on second try when we ran it? It helps that it’s easier than normal mode.
