Haven’t been able to play as much as I’d want but progressing nonetheless, started chapter 8 yesterday. Still loving it. Those are the best virtual snowy mountains I’ve had the chance to step on since Steep.

i’m feeling more pressure to speed to the end but i’m also just enjoying logging in to run a few deliveries every other night or so; my clear time may be more on the sponkmonkey side

The ending was still 5 hours for everyone right? Like I just played and watched the ending.

I didn’t play this for weeks bc my ps4’s power supply died but I’m back at it and really loving it…

thought this was going to be one of those things where I’d just tolerate the actual game part but nope! it rules.

last night I made norman climb up a big snowy mountain just to ride down it on the hover cart, except I lost control near the bottom and ate shit, ruining a bunch of gear. also I nearly rolled my stolen truck on the pizza delivery mission, so I guess I’m rping xtreme sports dirtbag norman.

also I was thinking the other night about how if norman reedus didn’t exist there’s no way you’d end up with a video game protagonist that looks like norman reedus.

anyway sorry if all this has been mentioned before I skipped every post since this came out!

okay so I’m pretty sure this is not how you’re supposed to ride two up

Being an absolute ass and riding your dirtbike everywhere is the way to go

Death Stranding: Ghosts are real but they’re also too slow to catch you if you have a bike

The aftermath of the chiral artist and junk dealer storyline is so damn good

He’s bitter and morose because he thinks his artist girlfriend is dead, Sam Bridges goes through a lengthy subplot to prove that she’s alive and get them together, eventually carrying her on his back to the boyfriend, and it all ends well and they get married.

Later you get a mail from him about how mariage is maybe not what he thought it would be, etc, then shortly after another mail from her telling that they got a divorce and that she ran away back to her old home despite the massive risks
A+

Umm they get back together in the end.

There’s a good few prepper/station/city arcs that twist through late or post game. As for the couple, I didn’t revisit for a long while but there’s some emails that ultimately loop them back together, iirc the Mom admits something of a hand or sentiment toward their separation in the first place.

again sorry if this has been discussed! I think I’m right at the end of chapter 3, and maybe things change, but in a lot of ways this really feels like a low budget game for such a high budget game

yeah, a friend of mine at NYU Game Center says the game really reminds him of a student game, if it had a multi-million dollar budget

We’ve always known about Number 1 and Number 2, but I like the idea that human waste product is zero-based, and sweat is Number 0.

I keep imagining norman reedus and higgs as sam curtis and professor hess from the american astronaut.

[higgs] I have a picture of you. Do you know what you’re doing?
[norman reedus] sighs heavily I’m taking a shit.

The snow effects in this game are amazing. Sam actually leaves a deep trail where he walks. Peeing melts the snow too.
