it is pretty staggeringly dull and tonally incoherent, donāt get your hopes up too high
consider it the equivalent of letting someone talk you into going to a restaurant or something that you knew you were gonna hate, tried to find the silver lining of, and wound up hating anyway
I played a chapter last night on the new patch and did not notice a meaningful difference in NPC or vehicle density compared to PS4 Pro code running on PS5, so if there is a change it must be pretty minor
The rest of the big gamebreaking issues have been fixed for the last ~6 months or so, at least when playing on PS5
I for one found it pretty interesting. Iām tempted to dip back in with this new patch. I havenāt played any of the other big budget open world games though, so maybe thereās some novelty here for me that others may not experience in the same way. Of course there are flaws, but the narrative elements actually far exceeded my expectations.
iām playing the 5hr demo on series s. probably the exact amount of the game i would have played if i bought it. it seems to run really well, seen one or two weird janky open world npc interactions, but very minor stuff.
the game is actually making a pretty good first impression on me, but i can see exactly how itās gonna lose it when it opens up.
been playing this for a few hours now, via the demo on Series X. iām having a better time with it than i did when it came out, and i guess iām taking it in more as an open-world action game, with some RPG elements, rather than something on par with what was delivered with The Witcher 3.
that said the city feels kind of dead and the options of stuff to do are pretty sparse right now. in terms of main mission, iām about to sneak into the guyās hotel room to get the thing, so perhaps more opens up later, but i have gotten the impression it doesnāt, really.
still a bit on the fence as to whether or not iāll purchase the full game
