I apparantly only watched the first episode which contains a scene where a character gets put into a perilous situation which was the only thing I remembered from the show.
I remember catching some eps of Moo Mesa when Fox Kids started back filling slots with nearly forgotten syndicated shows during its death throes. No real strong feelings for it. The only character I vaguely remember was one bad guy bull with a gunbarrel on one of his horns.

I think Netflix finally ended that dumb practice they had with the dub options being region blocked. So if you were a Portuguese speaker living in the US before 2025, you were locked out for most Portuguese dubs, even if those Portuguese dubs exist, because near every Netflix Original include Brazilian Portuguese dubs.
I got around to watch Kid Cosmic by Craig McCracken, when I found out I could choose a Portuguese dub after years of Netflix cock blocking me the right to watch their Portuguese dubs. I really enjoyed it. I feel the show has failed to catch on compared to other Craig shows, simply because it was all killer, no filler, 24 episodes total to an ongoing story. It is not episodic or syndicated work like The Powerpuff Girls or Foster’s Home.
Wander over Yonder was episodic, but there was a slowly developing narrative to it, per Disney’s orders. But this one felt like I watched one of those 24-27 episodes range anime with a single stand alone narrative. It was great, but can’t spoil. Just don’t expect it a super serious story, this is still aimed at kids, but there is weight and consequences. If characters die, they stay dead. If characters lose one of their body parts, they stay that way. If buildings are destroyed, they don’t return without being repaired or fixed.
If you watch the first episodes, it feels like you are going to have an episodic story once they are done introducing the core cast, but the show builds and setups in a different direction. Try not to let the introductory episodes drive you away. There is a story waiting for you in the course of 3 short seasons.

I just got the 1997 Berserk anime bluray today. There is an English dub blooper reel as a feature, which got me wondering: does anyone have any reverence for the English dub? I’m not a subs or nothing type, especially for pre-2000s anime, and really like some English dubs—blemishes and all.

Reverence, no. But like you said there are many English dubs I really enjoy.
The Texhnolyze DVDs I bought a million years ago had great parody dubs as bonus features on each disc

ninja scroll dub is my preferred way to re-watch. the part where he tells kagome that she’s temperamental in the hot weather and should go cool her head is delivered in a way that I cannot skip

it does make sense that for an adaptation like this to happen you’d need to be bankrolled by a real fighting game, but when i started hearing street fighter sounds on the trailer i started laughing.

I have been slowly catching on with Untalkative Bunny, because it is the same energy / vibe, as Sheep in the Big City, just more visual and music driven like Nu, Pogodi!, than writing driven like Sheep. I like the jazz bgm, and how it captures that early aughts urban jungle malaise, like Sheep. Did this ever air in the US? The wiki say that Cartoon Network aired it in both Spanish and Portuguese versions for Latin America, but given how limited the dialogue is, I can’t remember any Spanish or Portuguese voices. This is a Canadian show, so at the very least there must be a version using French (Canadian) voices. I wish people had made a plush toy for this cute bunny.

Binged Golden Boy. It’s got pretty good comedic chops, particularly when it comes to timing. Big fan of the sudden switch to a super-detailed ugly style for close-up reactions. I like the conceit that perversion is Kentaro’s major character flaw but contrasts him as otherwise upright and diligent. He’s ‘golden’ to the point it solves all of his problems, even the ones brought about by perversion. Kinda wish the ‘one day he’ll save the world’ had a payoff.
The music stood out pretty well even if it takes you out of the scene sometimes. Love the opening.
